and recurrent aortic insufficiency (>2þ) at 3 years was 100% in the plication-only group and 94% AE 6% and 89% AE 11% in the plication with resuspension group.
DISCUSSIONFree margin plication is an effective technique for the correction of cusp prolapse and can be performed in a simple and systematic manner with stable midterm results. It is ideally used in the presence of good-quality cusp tissue and can be used in conjunction with free margin resuspension.
