<p>Metil orange merupakan salah satu zat warna yang banyak digunakan di industri tekstil. Metil orange ini tergolong ke dalam zat warna yang berbahaya bagi lingkungan. Salah satu metode yang baik digunakan untuk mengurangi bahaya dari metil orange yaitu metode adsorpsi. SiO<sub>2</sub> diketahui memiliki sifat adsorben yang baik karena memiliki struktur dan sifat permukaan yang stabil terhadap bahan kimia. Lumpur Lapindo merupakan salah satu sumber SiO<sub>2</sub> yang keberadanya melimpah. Kandungan SiO<sub>2 </sub>pada Lumpur Lapindo yakni sebesar 55%. Tingginya kandungan SiO<sub>2</sub> dalam Lumpur Lapindo, membuat lumpur lapindo memiliki daya adsorpsi yang baik. Pada penelitian ini Lumpur Lapindo digunakan sebagai adsorben untuk metil orange. Proses adsorpsi dilakukan dengan metode <em>batch</em>. Lumpur Lapindo dipreparasi terlebih dahulu untuk mengetahui pengaruhnya terhadap daya adsorpsi pada Metil orange. Preparasi dilakukan dengan ekstraksi SiO<sub>2</sub> dari Lumpur Lapindo menggunakan metode kopresipitasi yang dapat meningkatkan kemurnian SiO<sub>2</sub> dari 50% menjadi 78,6%. SiO<sub>2</sub> hasil ekstraksi memiliki %<em>removal</em> dan kapasitas adsorpsi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan lumpur Lapindo masing-masing sebesar 81,39% dan 0,081mg/g.</p>
Fertilizer wastewater contains a high concentration of ammonium and phosphate. One method of reducing the ammonium and phosphate contents is to recover them in the form of magnesium ammonium phosphate (MAP) or struvite (MgNH4PO4.6H2O). The objective of this experiment was to obtain the optimum mixing rate, pH, and molar ratio for struvite precipitation. A mixture of wastewater containing [Mg2+]:[NH4 +]:[PO4 3-] in molar ratios of 1:1:1, 1.5:1:1, and 2:1:1 was added to a 0.5-L beaker glass. Samples were then stirred under G.t values of 0.5 × 106, 106, and 1.5 × 106 for 60 minutes and left for 30 minutes for the sedimentation process. pH was set to 7.5, 8, and 8.5. Subsequently, the experimental results were compared with thermodynamic modelling using PHREEQC v3.0. The results showed that the optimum mixing rate was 158 rpm, which is equal to a G.t of 106; the optimum pH was 8.5 ± 0.2; and the optimum molar ratio of [Mg2+]:[NH4 +]:[PO4 3-] was 1:1:1. The removal percentage was 86.14% for ammonium and 98.98% for phosphate. Experimental results displayed a pattern similar to that predicted by the model. Additionally, the morphology of struvite shown by SEM-EDX and XRD analysis also demonstrated that struvite was formed in the precipitate.
The Kampong AMOI (Integrated Agro-Independent) Program is a community empowerment program carried out by PT Timah Tbk Metallurgical Unit Muntok. This community empowerment was carried out in Riding Panjang Village, Merawang District, Bangka Regency, Air Putih Village, Tanjung Village, Muntok District, and West Bangka Regency. This program integrates three activities, namely nursery perennials, composting, and broiler cultivation. The Kampong AMOI program has a significant impact on the economic and environmental development of the three villages. Therefore, in this paper, the results of the program impact will be analyzed using the evaluative social return on investment (SROI) method. This study aims to comprehensively evaluate, measure, and calculate the impacts of the program's implementation from the environmental, economic, welfare, and social aspects. The Kampong AMOI Community Empowerment Program (Integrated Agro-Independent Village) results have an SROI value of 2.518. This result shows that every IDR 1 invested has a benefit or impact value of IDR 2.518. This result also concludes that the Kampong AMOI program is reasonable to be conducted in Riding Panjang Village, Air Putih Village, and Tanjung Village.
AbstrakPT. X merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dalam bidang pengelolaan dan pengolahan limbah, sehingga sistem manajemen lingkungan yang baik dan benar sangat diperlukan dalam proses produksinya. Dokumen ISO14001:2015 menjadi acuan PT. X dalam melakukan sistem manajemen lingkungan. Sertifikasi Sistem Manajemen Lingkungan ISO 14001 : 2015 merupakan bukti bahwa PT.X telah secara aktif melakukan audit eksternal maupun internal dalam bentuk self assessmentdengan acuan yang ada pada klausul ISO 14001 : 2015. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan analisis secara kuantitatif menggunakan panduan self assesment yang dikeluarkan oleh Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI). Checklist ini berisikan daftar persyaratan yang mengacu pada standar ISO 14001:2015, dan ditulis dalam format pertanyaan baku beserta skoring kuantitatif. Dari hasil analisa yang telah dilakukan, PT. X telah memenuhi prinsip ISO 14001:2015 yang dapat dilihat dengan adanya Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) yang berisi tata cara operasi, proses produksi dan pemeliharaan lingkungan, serta terdokumentasikannya kebijakan dan komitmen manajemen puncak tentang sistem manajemen lingkungan. Kebijakan dan komitmen lingkungan merupakan prinsip utama yang menjadi dasar untuk diterapkannya sistem manajemen lingkungan. AbstractPT. X is a company that engaged in the management and processing of waste, thus a good and correct environmental management system is strongly needed. ISO 14001: 2015 document is a guideline for PT. X in carrying out environmental management systems. ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System Certification is a proof that PT. X has actively carried out external and internal audits in the form of self-assessment using ISO 14001: 2015 as they reference. In this study, a quantitative analysis was carried out using self-assessment guidelines issued by the Global Environmental Management Initiative. This checklist contained a list of requirements that refer to the ISO 14001: 2015 standard, and were written in the standard question format along with quantifying the clauses. Result showed PT. X has fulfilled ISO 14001: 2015 principleswhich can be seen by the existence of a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) which contained procedures for operations, production processes and environmental maintenance, as well as documented policies and commitment of top management regarding environmental management systems. Environmental policy and commitment were the main principles that form the basis for the implementation of the environmental management system.
The MERLITA (Mernek Milik Kita) program is a community development program for PT Pertamina (Persero) Fuel Terminal Maos Cilacap, which was carried out in Mernek Village, Maos District, Cilacap Regency. This program aims to increase the income of farmers and farm laborers by changing the function of planting rice for consumption into superior seeds. In addition, it also encourages environmentally friendly and sustainable agricultural practices because these seeds can reduce the use of urea which can reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The MERLITA program has a significant impact on economic and environmental development in Mernek Village, the community around Mernek village feels the impact. Therefore, in this paper, the results of the Impact Assessment of the program using the SROI method will be given. The measurement results obtained the value of the SROI ratio of 1.34, indicating that every 1 rupiah invested has an impact value of Rp. 1.34. This situation proves that the MERLITA Program is still feasible to be conducted and still positively impacting Mernek Village economy.
This study tested desiccation crack potential and migration of metals through pure bentonite and bentonite-zeolite composites to determine the best composition of the composite liner. Pure bentonite (B) and bentonite-zeolite composites of 2% (B2), 5% (B5), and 8% (B8) were used as controlled variables. The results showed that the addition of zeolite could not minimize the desiccation behavior in the liner. The value of crack intensity factor (CIF) of each sample B, B2, B5, and B8 was 3.44%, 3.51%, 3.58%, and 3.64%, respectively, indicating a moisture content of 29.95%, 34.54%, 30.88%, and 28.21%, respectively.
