A Study on Diglossia Used by Helen Keller as The Main Character in George Sullivan's Novel "Helen Keller"
isomorphic and conventional to open-ended can reflect students' learning difficulties on kinematic's graphs. This study used a quantitative descriptive form of survey research. The respondents were twenty-nine senior high school students from Semarang. The instruments were adopted from the Test of Understanding Graphs-Kinematic (TUG-K) by Robert J.Beichner (1994). There were nine questions used from the TUG-K with open-ended questions that have been validated. The results show that students have difficulties learning about kinematic's graphs, and there is no relation between open-ended scores and the other two scores. Nonetheless, judging from the correlation coefficient, the correlation between open-ended and conventional tasks is 0.075, which means low correlation, while for isomorphic score and open-ended score in the amount of 0.109 is higher than the correlation of traditional and open-ended. This correlation is insignificant. However, the closest correlation direction to the open-ended test is isomorphic compared to the conventional one. Therefore, it is concluded that isomorphic assessment is more useful than traditional review in kinematic graphics.
Beggars become a social problem in Situbondo. Poverty is the main reason for begging. Not infrequently they settled on the streets because they do not have a place to stay. Based on the paradigm of the functional structure of the focus of research illustrates how beggars sought shelter and assistance in meeting the needs of infrastructure with the help of a Chairman RT. Data collected by using direct observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis was performed with the pattern of Miles and Huberman interactive analysis with stages of data collection, data reduction, exposure of data, drawing conclusions and grounded in the perspective of Robert K. Merton's theory with the main concept of function, dysfunction, functions manifest and latent functions. The results showed that the role of RT in meeting the needs of infrastructure family of beggars who live in the complex Tuna work is as follows: 1) Ensuring family relocation of beggars are homeless on the government to get a place to live, 2) Implement policies to meet the needs of infrastructure family beggars easily, 3) Capitalized friendliness and humility to lure donors. The study recommends how efforts to address the problems arising from the presence of beggars in particular to ensure its survival in order to create a system that is balanced in society.
Pollen or pollen wall consists of two layers, namely exine and intine. Exine (outer layer) composed of sporopolenin, and intine (inner layer) composed of cellulose. Pollen wall structure, especially the Exine, is one of the characters used for identification. The shape and type of pollen or spores of each specific plant species. Exine's ornamentation have variations in form and structure. That like are thorns, scratches, basins and other types of ornamentation. Pollen and spore sampling is done randomly in some plants that are supposed to represent members berspora ferns (Asplenium nidus, Platycerium bifurcatum, and Microsorum diversifolium) and pollen of flowering plants (Ipomea sp., Tridax procumben. And flowers Crinum asiaticum). Spores of Asplenium nidus to have a corrugate apertura monocalpalae with ornaments. Platycerium bifurcatum spores aperture shape gemenete dicolpale with ornaments, while the spores Microsorum diversifolium has the form apertura psilatum dicolpalae with ornaments. Polen has Tridax procumben apertura echinatus peripole with ornaments, Ipomea sp. has the form apertura saculate peripole with ornaments, while the Crinum asiaticum has the form apertura clevate peripole with ornaments. The diversity of spore of plant species in nature have affect the diversity of forms of ornamentation owned.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
