The mathematical critical-thinking skill is a process of thinking systematically to develop logical and critical thinking on mathematical problems, which characterize and demand to learn in the 21st century. This conceptual paper aims to analyze the spirit of critical thinking skill, and various approaches that can be applied in mathematics learning. Based on the analysis of several theories and research findings from various countries in the world, it can be concluded that the mathematical critical-thinking skill is very important for students, too; (i) help rational thinking in making decisions to express an idea, (ii) dare to make conclusions with alternative logical thinking, and (iii) able to examine and disregard various complex problems in learning Mathematics. Indeed, mathematics learning does not occur, if the learning process has not demonstrated the spirit of developing mathematical critical thinking skills.
This study aims to analyze parenting activities in shaping the character of early childhood at Taman Posyandu Anak Salih. The research method used is a qualitative case study type. Researchers conducted interviews with principals and teachers at the institution. The study results indicate that the formation of children's character requires a continuous and consistent process, both when the child is in the family environment, school environment, and community environment. Schools in approaching parents through parenting activities are carried out through; 1) planning includes determining the time, place of materials, and media needed in parenting activities; 2) implementation, namely the form of parental meetings or parent classes by prioritizing the discussion and sharing process; 3) evaluation in the parenting program using question and answer according to the material that has been conveyed with parents and meetings regarding ongoing programs conducted by educators and managers so that parents become partners in the formation of children's character.
Introduction:The harmful substances are increasingly consumed to food. Low level of safety food for school children (PJAS) remains a critical issue. Survey BPOM (centre for food and drug administration), 45 % PJAS not eligible because contain harmful chemicals. The biggest group which poisoned PJAS are elementary school students. The purpose of study was to analyze differences behaviour street food consumption by health education. Method: Quasy experimental research by randomized pre-test post-test control group design. The population were 60 students, while a sample was 30 students for each group. Independent variable was health education; dependent variables were behaviour street food consumption. Intervention given 3 times. Data collected by questionnaires and observation. Data was analyzed by Mann Whitney and Chi Square with α=0.05. Result : Treatment group have good knowledge were 28 children (93,3%); positive attitude 18 children (60 %); good practice 26 children (87 %), and statistical analysis was significant. Discussion: Health education can improve behaviour street food consumption, includes changes of knowledge, attitude and practice. Some advice for schools and parent are to lead student eating snacks healthy foods and to stimulate UKS (health effort school), therefore program PHBS (clean and healthy lifestyle) and PJAS can be achieved. ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Penggunaan substansi berbahaya dalam makanan semakin meningkat. Rendahnya tingkat keamanan pangan jajanan anak sekolah (PJAS) masih menjadi isu kritis. Intervensi diberikan selama 3 kali.
The ecological, social and economic functions of the Ciliwung watershed are essentially to meet human needs, from primary to tertiary. The fulfillment of human needs occasionally contributes to the reduction of watershed ecological functions that result in flooding in Jakarta and declining ecological functions in the Jakarta Bay. Therefore, the study of the identification of economic activity and economic value spatially along the Ciliwung watershed needs to be done so as not to err in the management of the watershed in the future. This research uses survey method. Sampling using multi-stage sampling method. Spatial analysis of land use is done by using GIS by Arc / View method, economic value analysis is done with use value and non-use value. The use value approach uses a value-added production approach that is GDP of gross production of each sector of economy, non-use value using CVM approach by calculating WTP value.
