The study aims to analyze the meaning of debt according to the people of Kampung Kauman who prefer moneylenders than banks as their source of credit. This qualitative research uses a case study. Primary data were obtained through interviews with residents of Kampung Kauman, Pasrepan Village, Pasuruan Regency, East Java, which is located in an Islamic boarding school environment with a religious type of community. Secondary data in the form of details of the credit system to moneylenders. The sample used is saturated, i.e. all those who are credit members to loan sharks. Total informants numbered 21 of 30 households in Kauman Village. The results of this study indicate that the meaning of credit to loan sharks for the community in the study site environment is venture capital, a friendly place of association, mutual relief among credit members, and regarding usury laws on credit.
Penelitian ini berdasarkan atas kontroversi pengesahan revisi UU KPK 2019 yang bertujuan untuk menghitung ada atau tidaknya perbedaan abnormal return dan Trading Volume Activity (TVA) sebelum dan sesudah peristiwa. Penelitian ini menggunakan SPSS pada indeks saham LQ45 melalui uji beda paired sample t-test. Menggunakan metode event study, data yang dipakai adalah data sekunder berupa historis saham di Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI), pada 45 sampel perusahaan yang tergabung dalam indeks LQ45. Periode penelitian meliputi empat belas hari, H-7 dan H+7 peristiwa. Hasil statistik uji normalitas, seluruh variabel berdistribusi normal, lalu dilanjutkan dengan uji statistik sample t test, menunjukkan kontroversi pengesahan UU KPK 2019 yang dilaksanakan tepat pada 17 September memberi dampak signifikan terhadap saham yang tergabung dalam indeks LQ45.
Purpose – This study aims to explore and understand how the mindset of merchant women in Montong Traditional Market so choose loan sharks as their loan source, which refers to the perspective of behavior and financial literacy.Methodology – This qualitative research with a Schutz phenomenological design, takes the research setting in Montong Traditional Market, Tuban. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation.Findings – The results of the study show five biased of merchant women towards loan sharks, namely confirmation bias, framing, herding effect, hindsight bias, and representativeness. 'Agamis' in the merchant women in Montong Traditional Market does not guarantee that she is free from loan sharks. Implications – The results of this study indicate that related parties, such as religious leaders, the society leader, and cooperatives in Montong Traditional Market, Tuban, are expected to be able to increase education related to financial literacy through existing programs effectively and efficiently. Banks and cooperatives in the Montong Traditional Market area should be able to pick up the ball by providing door-to-door services to merchant women in Montong Traditional Market as a maximum effort to eradicate loan shark practices.Originality – This study explores the mindset of merchant women on loan sharks, whereas previous studies related to loan sharks have only explored them from an economic perspective.
