In recent years, military and civil agencies play an important role in disaster response and recovery. These include an increase in the scale and incident of natural disasters, a concurrent trend towards militarization of humanitarian response in conflict situations and increased interest in disaster response on the part of military. Hence, the Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) and civil agencies play an effective role to ensure the effectiveness of managing the disaster response in that area. The objective of this study is to know the problems faced by the Malaysian Armed Forces and Civil Agencies in Sarawak. This study is to examine the civil-military cooperation between the Malaysian Armed Forces and civil agencies during the disaster, to examine the civil-military coordination in disaster management, and to examine the civil-military activities between armed forces and civil agencies and the activities carried out by the army and civil agencies and also the challenges faced during the response and recovery in disaster management. This study is based on qualitative research method through interviews and focus group discussion involving the military infantry unit at 11 Royal Malay Regiment, 13 Royal Malay Regiment, 3 Royal Ranger Regiment, and 10 Royal Ranger Regiment in Sarawak. There are also problems such as disagreement between the military and civil agency that weakened their professional relationship. It is important for the military and civil agency to have a good relationship in order to work together in managing the disaster.
Ancient Egyptian faience is a significant object which have enormous technical and historical information about Egyptian civilization. The recent discovered faience is exposed to many deterioration factors, which have serious impact on its components and its physical and mechanical properties leading to poor structure, broken parts and separated glazing layer. The current study aims to stop the continuous undesired effect of the deterioration factors and consolidate the recent discovered fiancé objects by using four different nanocomposite (Nanosilica SiO 2 with Waker OH100 and TEOS as well as nano calcium hydroxide Ca(OH) 2 ).The chosen consolidants (Polymernanomaterials) have been applied on a simulated Egyptian blue faience object samples depends on analytical study of recent discovered ancient faience objects at Tepla hill, Egypt using XRD, and SEM_EDX.Porosity, water absorption, density, compressive strength, colorimetric measurements, water contact angle and Scanning electron microscope (SEM) were used to evaluate the efficiency of the selected consolidants, the result revealed that composite of nanosilica with Waker OH100 and TEOS were provide notable protection for the deteriorated faience.
HANRUH is an idea of Total Defense implemented by Malaysia in which the National Security Committee presented it in May 1986 to plan solid obstruction procedures and all-encompassing. This article examines the usage of social media on the readiness of the Malaysian Government in Total Defense. The primary and secondary data were collected through the qualitative research methodology using the ethnography research design to get the study's data and information. The findings found that it is the issue of virtual life of today where it has been seen from a terrible perspective. However, in making sure of a ton of utilization of the electronic long-range casual correspondence life, it is undeniable that the Malaysian Armed Forces can essentially harm the use of online platforms today. The Malaysian Armed Forces are concerned about the miracle of spreading fake news and information that the military needs to address this issue through the long-standing undertaking with the Communications and Multimedia Commission. It is a significant effort by the Federal Government in preventing the transmission of corrupt news and information on web dealing. For the recommendations of this study, the association should anticipate that their businesses should have the verification of the genuine target of arraignment in court. It will screen the information traffic coming into the nation comparably with the data dispersed through affiliations, government networks, higher education establishments, and associations. The main thing that should be improved is to create increasingly qualified alumni in software engineering and is educated on the advanced legal sciences that enable to check the credibility of a video, picture, sound, and recording. This research profoundly implications and contribution towards the Malaysian Army as managing pandemic COVID-19 to the organization's mission. Having identified the readiness of Malaysian Government In Total Defense (HANRUH) on social media usage, these results and findings have theoretical and practical implications. Additionally, this study serves to augment knowledge of the current body of empirical research.
Military deployments are events and stressors that begin when the soldiers are deployed and end when they return home and reintegrate back into their families and communities. Religious belief accepts the basic social-value system's moral legitimacy, which serves as a crucial component of strong family bonds. Family bonding can be defined as a feeling of closeness and caring toward one's parents, which is manifested in the family through ostensible supervision, communication, involvement, and cooperative activities. This study was conducted using 384 usable data gathered from soldiers who served in various ships of the Royal Malaysian Navy. Analyzing the validity and reliability of the instrument and hence testing the research hypotheses, used SmartPLS version 3.2.8 to construct structural equation modeling. The results of path model analysis revealed two important findings: firstly, the soldier well-being (family supports', medium of communication, and personal financial) significantly correlated with religious belief; secondly, the religious belief complementary mediated the relationship between soldier well-being and family bonding. Statistically, this finding suggests that properly managing soldiers' religious beliefs act as an essential mediator between well-being aspects such as family support, medium of communication, personal finance, and family bonding. This study contributes to understanding how soldier well-being factors can strengthen family bonding among soldiers by soldier’s religious belief as a mediator in this relationship. These findings prove that the importance of a soldier’s religious belief is instilled into every soldier. Discussion, ramifications, and a conclusion are also included.
Background:The most significant complication of chronic kidney disease (CKD) is end-stage renal disease (ESRD). Hemodialysis (HD) necessitates a well-functioning vascular access with enough blood flow for clearance and blood dialysis. Thrombosis of the veins can be caused by both acquired and inherited factors. Aim of The Work: To to assess EPCR levels in patients with ESRD on hemodialysis & study relationship between the presence of EPCR gene polymorphisms (6936A/G) and incidence of vascular access thrombosis. Patients and Methods: This research was carried out on 50 studied cases admitted to the Theodor Bilharz Research Institute (TBRI), Imbaba, Giza, Hemodialysis Unit, Nephrology Department from November 2018 to May 2019. In addition, 25 age and sex-matched normal people (control cases) were included. Results: The mutant EPCR (6936A/G) genotypes were found to be substantially more prevalent in our investigation and the polymorphic type allele (G allele) in (p < 0.05) in ESRD patients on long-term hemodialysis with thrombosis compared to healthy subjects and ESRD patients without thrombosis. the flow cytometric expression of CD 201 was statistically reduced in ESRD patients on long-term hemodialysis with thrombosis (p < 00.01) & without thrombosis (p < 00.05) when compared to healthy subjects. CD201 Expression levels showed negative correlation with EPCR 6936 A/G heteromutant genotype. Conclusion: The result obtained via the recurrent study provide evidence that EPCR 6936A/G (rs867186) genetic polymorphisms in ESRD patients on long-term hemodialysis could be a potential reason for Venous thrombosis.
