This study analyses the musical preferences of children in early childhood education. It also strives to determine the learning environment where these preferences develop, as well as to identify both teachers' and families' degree of knowledge of these preferences.The study was conducted in four Spanish autonomous communities: the Basque Country, Cantabria, the Community of Valencia and the Balearic Islands. A total of 286 five-year-old children, their parents and their teachers participated. The analytical design consisted of a three-fold interview through which we gathered and compared the information obtained.The genres and sub-genres of music that the children prefer emerged from the analysis of the results, as well as the influence of each learning environment. Likewise, information is provided on the percentage of parents and teachers who are aware of the children's musical preferences.
El presente texto ofrece un estudio exploratorio acerca de la percepción que dos grupos de estudiantes universitarios, uno de ellos con formación musical y el otro sin ella, tienen sobre el sistema modular de creación sonora colaborativa, ‘Soundcool’ en el ámbito de la formación inicial de profesorado. La muestra participante está compuesta por 66 alumnos del Título de Grado de Maestro pertenecientes a dos universidades españolas, la Universidad de Valencia y la Universidad de Cantabria. El instrumento utilizado para la recogida de datos ha sido un cuestionario que consta de cinco secciones y validado por un grupo de expertos de las áreas de Didáctica de la Expresión Musical y Didáctica y Organización Escolar de diferentes universidades españolas. Los resultados confirman que ‘Soundcool’, independientemente de la formación musical de los grupos participantes, es percibida como una herramienta tecnológica altamente valorada y que puede contribuir al desarrollo de ciertas competencias docentes de índole intrapersonal e interpersonal; concretamente, aquellas relacionadas con el desarrollo creativo, el trabajo colaborativo y la innovación, fundamentales en el desempeño profesional del futuro maestro. Asimismo, en las conclusiones se realizan varias aportaciones en relación al uso de la herramienta, que nos invitan a continuar investigando en diferentes contextos musicales educativos, tales como escuelas de música y conservatorios.
Este artículo reflexiona sobre la importancia de repensar los espacios que habitamos de acuerdo con la idea de que el mundo físico y el digital interactúen de manera natural. A partir de esta premisa, y en el ámbito educativo-musical, las prácticas desarrolladas en el MusicLAB CR-209 del IES Arabista Ribera de Carcaixent (Valencia) son una muestra de cómo estas nuevas arquitecturas pueden favorecer el desarrollo de la creatividad. Acorde con las posibilidades que ofrece la tecnología actual, este aula-laboratorio está concebido como un espacio para la experimentación y la improvisación. El objeto del artículo es describir “La Máquina Interestelar, una propuesta pedagógica interdisciplinar que parte de un trabajo de creación musical y que integra diferentes lenguajes artísticos e incluye la tecnología mediante el uso de la herramienta digital “Soundcool”. Se utiliza una metodología colaborativa y se muestran los escenarios de trabajo, en su diseño, desarrollo y representación escénica. Los participantes, un grupo formado por estudiantes de Educación Primaria y Educación Secundaria, junto a músicos y docentes, fueron capaces de generar diálogos entre la imagen, el gesto, la voz y el sonido y liberar su creatividad desde una actitud abierta y participativa. Nuestro objetivo final es proporcionar ideas que puedan inspirar a los profesores del ámbito artístico en el diseño de propuestas interdisciplinares, el trabajo colaborativo y la hibridación entre lo analógico y lo digital.
