En este artículo abordamos el valor formativo de la escritura de relatos de aula para el desarrollo de saberes experienciales en docentes en formación. Hemos llevado a cabo este estudio durante tres años junto a seis estudiantes del grado de Educación Primaria en sus asignaturas de prácticas profesionales, centrándonos en la escritura de relatos a partir de sus vivencias en las escuelas. El propósito es conocer de qué manera la escritura de relatos de aula: i) favorece en los estudiantes el conocimiento de sus ideas pedagógicas; ii) promueve la reflexión sobre cuestiones pedagógicas relevantes; iii) posibilita el desarrollo de un pensamiento propio sobre la educación. Metodológicamente se trata de una investigación con modalidad de auto-estudio, realizando observaciones, entrevistas y el análisis de los relatos elaborados por los estudiantes. En los resultados identificamos tres momentos que posibilitan el desarrollo de saberes experienciales: a) narrar la vivencia de un suceso movilizador; b) reflexionar sobre lo vivido; y c) pensar pedagógicamente, tomando en consideración las situaciones narradas. Concluimos observando la potencialidad formativa de escribir relatos de aula, ya que estos ayudan a profundizar narrativamente la educación, permitiendo el desarrollo de un pensamiento reflexivo con capacidad para captar aspectos relevantes de la vida en las aulas.
Este texto parte de la inquietud por situar en el centro del proceso educativo la relación educativa, ya que esta da forma a la experiencia vivida en el aula, haciendo posible la construcción del currículum vivido de cada estudiante. Partiendo de estudios fenomenológicos y feministas entendemos que la relación educativa se construye desde un movimiento de comprensión pedagógica, es decir, de acogida y acompañamiento. El propósito del estudio es ahondar en la naturaleza de la relación educativa, la comprensión pedagógica y en el lugar que ocupan en la construcción del currículum vivido. Para ello, en el marco de una indagación narrativa, a través de conversaciones hermenéuticas, tratamos de conocer la experiencia de una maestra y una de sus alumnas. Un análisis cruzado de los dos relatos nos permite pensar en tres lugares desde los que se estructura la comprensión pedagógica y se construye la relación educativa: escucha, aceptación y disponibilidad.
La experiencia de relación no se deja definir plenamente –en un sentido positivista– porque su naturaleza es inefable, por lo que resulta aventurado pensar la relación sólo desde un punto de vista analítico. Aunque ese trabajo descriptivo y de conceptualización es imprescindible, también es necesaria una mirada integral a la experiencia de relación y las cualidades que hacen que esta sea educativa. Este es el propósito del texto: pensar de una manera integral, holística, sobre el lugar simbólico y físico del docente en la relación educativa. Esta tarea la realizamos a través de la noción de presencia y pensando con la experiencia de dos alumnas de educación primara a las que hemos acompañado durante dos cursos escolares. Siguiendo las propuestas de la fenomenología hermenéutica, los procesos de investigación han sido la observación de cerca y las conversaciones hermenéuticas. A partir de este trabajo de campo, iniciamos un diálogo con estudios sobre la presencia, la pedagogía de la presencia y la narración de experiencias concretas que hemos vivido junto a las alumnas; de modo que este diálogo nos permita vislumbrar algunos aspectos estructurales de la relación educativa. En concreto en las experiencias que hemos estudiado hemos identificado tres gestos que nombramos como: invitar, estar y retirarse. Estos gestos nos ayudan a pensar en las cualidades del oficio docente y la relación educativa, anclados en las características de este acontecimiento particular y conscientes de su singularidad, evitando la tentación de pretender generalizarlas o extrapolarlas a otras relaciones educativas.
