One of the software for compiling a bibliography automatically can take advantage of the facilities of the Mendeley Desktop application. Mendeley Desktop is a reference management software that helps organize scientific articles, namely in creating citations and bibliography. With this software, writers can manage reading sources that are used as references in compiling their writings. The use of Mendeley Desktop can also be integrated with Microsoft Word, so it can be more easily for writers for each scientific paper. The purpose of holding this training activity is to help the teachers of SMP Swasta Gita Surya Eban in order to utilize of the facilities provided by the software and the citations and references on the Mendeley Desktop so that scientific writing can be done more easily, quickly, and efficiently. From the training results, it was found that the training carried out could add knowledge and solutions to the use of Mendeley Desktop with the evaluation results increase significantly. The writers hope that by holding this training, teachers at SMP Swasta Gita Surya Eban can apply the citation / reference software from Mendeley Desktop in writing scientific papers.
This research was conducted to obtain an overview of the oral communication skills of teacher candidates in Screencast O Matic-based lectures. This research is quantitative descriptive. The research subjects were 25 students of the Biology Education Study Program at the University of Timor who programmed basic teaching skills courses. The instrument used was an observation sheet and an oral communication skill rubric developed by Pramudiyanti (2019). The data collected were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the oral communication skills of teachers candidate during the implementation of Screencast O Maticbased lectures were in the proficient category. This is due to the potential for Screencast O Maticbased lectures in maximizing the active involvement of prospective teachers during lectures. However, among the four indicators of oral communication skills, indicators of voice clarity, material clarity, and response to the audience are in the proficient category, while the calm category is still in the basic category. The recommendation from this research is that Screencast O Matic-based lectures can be combined with other strategies that support the optimization of teacher candidates' oral communication skills.
The purpose of this community service activity is to provide an introduction to training in making scientific papers for teachers of Gita Surya Eban Junior High School. The Susuk Pool Mangrove Ecosystem is a protected area. The conservation area is protected for the preservation purposes which in its development is directed as ecotourism areas. Mangrove tourism activities are limited to the mangrove ecosystem. Therefore, in its development, it is necessary to study the conditions and potentials in it through an analysis of suitability and Carrying Capacity towards the tourists. This study aims to determine the suitability of tourism and to measure the Carrying Capacity of tourists. The method used was descriptive quantitative with the data collection using surveys and observations. The analysis used was the Tourism Suitability Index (IKW) and Spatial Analysis, which then continued by using the Carrying Capacity Assessment. The result has shown that the mangrove area was 28.5 ha, based on spatial analysis. The category of IKW has shown that the total of 15.5 ha was categorized as Very Appropriate, the total of 8 ha was categorized as Appropriate while only 5 ha was categorized as Not Appropriate. The Carrying Capacity of Mangrove area at Susuk Pool was 280 people per day with an operating time provided by the tour manager for 9 hours. Generally, the entire Susuk pool mangrove area has a tourist capacity in the Good Category because it did not exceed the maximum recommended limit. Therefore, the suggestion for policy making is to make regulations for the management of mangrove areas.
