The purpose of this study is to investigate the internet use of Turkish adolescents, with a (particular) focus on the risk of Internet addiction. A web-based questionnaire was completed by a total of 4,311 adolescents attending public high schools in grades 9-12, in a small-sized city in western Turkey. Ages ranged from 15 to 19 years, 54 percent were female and 46 percent male. The questionnaire included items on sociodemographic information, Internet usage, and a Turkish version of the Young's Internet Addiction Test. The data were analyzed in SPPS 15.0 program using the t test, the Mann-Whitney U test, correlation and hierarchic regression analysis. The findings show that, regardless of gender, Facebook ranked highest in the classification of students' purpose of Internet use; it was also found that females mainly used the Internet for communication, whereas males were more interested in playing online games and reading newspapers and magazines. The results of hierarchic regression analysis indicated that the significant predictors of the internet addiction were the presence of Internet access at home, gender, and family income levels.
Problem Statement: One of the main goals of education is to nurture individuals who know and improve themselves; who is well educated and have scientific perspective; who have developed communal coherency level; who are active, democratic and respectful to human rights.At the present time, according to an up to date mentality in mathematics education which is agreed on, the idea of learning mathematics by doing and experiencing rather than learning pure mathematical knowledge has come into prominence. In this process, there are many significant skills such as how to generate mathematical formulas, how to reach generalizations, how to reason will be developed Purpose of the Study: In this study the direct and indirect relationships between Mathematics success of vocational high school students and their attitudes towards the course, critical thinking tendencies and logical thinking skills were analyzed.
Method:The research was conducted with 479 first grade students who study at various departments of Aydın Vocational High School at Adnan Menderes University. SPSS 19.0 and AMOS 16.0 packaged softwares were used for the analysis of the gathered data in the study.
Fathers play a salient role in the children's development, especially in daughters. In this study, we examined the direct and indirect effects of father-daughter relationship on psychological outcomes of adolescent girls. A total of 310 adolescent girls aged between 14 and 18 (M = 15.88, SD = 0.89) of a Turkish population-based sample completed a battery of self-report surveys measuring perceptions related to father-daughter relationship, basic psychological need satisfaction, well-being, and ill-being. Structural equation modelling results indicated that fatherdaughter relationship is directly related to higher levels of well-being and lower levels of illbeing. Besides, results demonstrated that indirect effects of basic psychological need satisfaction on the link between father-daughter relationship and psychological outcomes were significant. These findings suggest that father-daughter relationship significantly influences mental health of adolescent girls and this effect is mediated by basic psychological need satisfaction. Implications for counseling interventions and recommendations for future research are discussed.
The purpose of the present study was to examine direct and indirect relations among social problem-solving, depression, and aggression, as well as the mediating role of depression in the link between social problem-solving and aggression among Turkish youth. Data for the present study were collected from 413 adolescents. The participants’ age ranged from 14 to 17 with a mean of 15.74 years (SD = .97). Results indicated that social problem-solving was significantly and negatively associated with both depression and aggression. Also, depression significantly and positively associated with aggression and depression appears to act as a mediator in the relationship between social problem-solving and aggression. Findings suggest that social problem-solving and depression are important factors in understanding aggression among Turkish youth.

Bireylerin sosyal sorun çözme becerileri ve özgüven düzeyleri arttıkça profesyonel benlik algı düzeyleri de artmakta olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Ayrıca, özgüven ve sosyal sorun çözme becerisi değişkenlerinin profesyonel benlik kavramı üzerinde anlamlı düzeyde yordayıcı oldukları görülmüştür. Hemşirelik eğitiminin yeniden gözden geçirilmesi ve profesyonel kimliğin oluşmasına yönelik yeni düzenlemelerin yapılması önerilmiştir.
In this study, the direct and indirect relationships between school attachment, constructive conflict resolution behavior and aggression were investigated. 474 sixth grade students participated in the study. According to the findings, there was a negative relationship between school attachment, constructive conflict resolution behavior and aggression, while there was a positive relationship between school attachment and constructive conflict resolution behavior. The direct and indirect relationship between school attachment and constructive conflict resolution behavior and agression. Suggestions on the prevention of violences in schools were discussed in the light of findings.
Araştırmada, Çevre Sağlığı Ana Bilim Dalında lisans üstü eğitime devam eden öğrencilerin çevre bilincine yönelik görüşlerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Aydın Adnan Menderes Üniversitesi 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılı, Çevre Sağlığı Ana Bilim Dalı'nda lisans üstü eğitime devam eden 8 öğrenci araştırmanın çalışma grubunu oluşturmuştur. Çalışma grubu maksimum çeşitlilik örneklemesine göre belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada, nitel araştırma yöntemiyle durum çalışması deseni kullanılmıştır. Veriler, doküman analizi ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde tümevarımcı içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır.Öğrencilere sorulan sorular temelinde; toplumda çevre bilincinin oluşmama nedenleri ve çevre bilincinin geliştirilmesine yönelik öneriler olmak üzere iki kategori ve bunlarla ilgili tema ve alt temalar belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin çevre bilincine yönelik görüşleri doğrultusunda bulgular yorumlanmıştır. Sonuç olarak, öğrenciler çevre bilincinin gelişmemesinde çok boyutlu faktörlerin etkili olduğunu, toplumun farkındalığının artırılmasında, uygulanabilir ve her yaş ve eğitim düzeyindeki bireyleri kapsayan ve arkasına medyanın ve devletin desteğini alan farklı eğitim modellerinin kullanılmasının önemli olduğunu vurgulamışlardır.
