O presente artigo busca discutir dimensões sociais de relações trabalhistas, a partir de processos judiciais da Junta de Conciliação e Julgamento de Itacoatiara, cidade do interior do Amazonas, no período de 1973 a 1999. A problematização dessa documentação aparece aqui por perspectivas de resistência dos trabalhadores envolvidos nessas disputas, em espaço de acautelamento, mas também de participação. São homens, mulheres e crianças, identificados como “braçais”, e “sem cultura”, que contribuem para a ampliação do campo histórico dos direitos, fazendo Justiça a partir das suas lutas, forças constitutivas da sociedade.
Propõe o presente artigo contribuir para a reflexão sobre a presença das trabalhadoras domésticas na produção de espaços de luta e participação social no Estado de São Paulo e na Amazônia brasileira no período da ditadura civil-militar (1964/1985), e de seu após, com a criação, conquista e manutenção de políticas públicas que alcançam direitos em demandas por moradia, saúde, segurança alimentar, salário, cidadania cultural, tendo a categoria consolidado importante patamar de conquistas com a promulgação e regulamentação recente da Emenda Constitucional n. 72, de 02 de abril de 2013 (a PEC das domésticas). O conjunto documental levantado aqui acompanha expressões de comunicação e educação popular na imprensa nanica, boletins de classe e de bairro, a militância pelo direito à memória do Centro Pastoral Vergueiro (CPV), e outras fontes (literárias, orais, judiciais), que ao longo do período se constituíram em contrapoderes que dinamizaram a presença ativa de católicos, operários, escritores, estudantes e professores, cartunistas, movimentos urbanos, em territórios históricos amplos de mobilização, lado a lado com aquelas trabalhadoras domésticas.
A Semana de Arte Moderna, no Brasil de 1922, foi uma atividade patrocinada por homens endinheirados, realizada num ambiente de pessoas endinheiradas e assistida por um público de homens e mulheres endinheirados. Seu alcance, todavia, ultrapassou esse universo social, astúcia das Artes, fez-se História também criticamente, às vezes sem o querer, e dialogou com outras modernidades sociais ao indagar o que era aquele Brasil.
Este artigo se propõe apreender dimensões de conflito na formação da propriedade e dos latifúndios na Amazônia a partir de práticas de derrubada da floresta e constituição de relações precárias de trabalho na região durante a ditadura civil-militar de 1964. As análises aqui desenvolvidas partem de conjunto documental da Justiça Trabalhista do estado do Amazonas, com foco para autos judiciais produzidos nas décadas de 1970 e 1980 pela Junta de Conciliação e Julgamento do município de Itacoatiara. Buscamos a partir desses processos trabalhistas surpreender articulações sociais amplas entre a imposição de práticas degradantes de trabalho e a destruição da natureza, em campo institucional marcado pela disputa e resistência de trabalhadores e trabalhadoras.
