This study aims to identify and analyze the factors that affect foreign exchange reserves in Indonesia. We consider the variables of external debt, exchange rate, inflation, and exports as explanatory factors referring to previous studies. We apply the Autoregressive Distributed Lag approach to time-series data retrieved from the Central Bank of Indonesia (BI), the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS), and International Monetary Funds (IMF) from January 2016 to December 2018. Our results show that foreign debt, exchange rates, inflation, and exports significantly affect the simultaneous fluctuation of foreign exchange reserves in Indonesia. Partially, foreign debt has a significant and positive effect on foreign exchange reserves. The exchange rate has a significant and negative effect on foreign exchange reserves in Indonesia. However, our findings explain that inflation does not significantly affect foreign exchange reserves in Indonesia, and exports have a significant and positive effect on foreign exchange reserves. This study is expected to be useful to policymakers in managing foreign exchange reserves, so the economy of Indonesia can grow sustainably. One of the exciting things in this study lies in the model that uses the Autoregressive Distributed Log, which can explain long-term relationships through adjusted coefficient and cointegration tests.
The industry is the current engine of the Indonesian economy over the past three decades; the economic structure in Indonesia has the transformation from the agriculture sector to the industry sector. The objective of this study is to examine the causality between agricultural, industry, and economic growth in Indonesia. By using the vector error correction model (VECM), this research finds that in the long-term, there is directional causality from the industry added value, economic growth on the agricultural added value. Meanwhile, in the short-term, the variable of industry added value and economic growth has the two-way causality. Besides, the agricultural added value can only affect the industrial added value and economic growth in the short-term. These findings support the idea that the agricultural sector plays a vital role in the economy, such as increasing economic growth and growth in other sectors, especially the industrial sector in this case.JEL Classification: F40, L60, O13, O47

Fintech has supported SME to develop their business through collaboration with e-commerce partners. This is very helpful for SME during the Covid-19 pandemic. Indonesia, which is dominated by poor communities, has also been seriously affected not only in the health aspect but also on job losses due to this pandemic. It is hoped that PKH beneficiaries will be able to survive these difficult times. Through the power of housewives who are considered to be able to help the family economy, online business is a new trend today. Therefore, the Sriwijaya University community service activity team provided training related to how to manage an online business. This activity was carried out on November 9, 2020 offline while adhering to health protocols. This training was attended by 40 PKH beneficiaries in Ilir Barat II District, Palembang City, South Sumatra Province. The methods used are presentation, tutoria and discussion. The results showed that 80 percent of participants understood the importance of online promotion through social media. The understanding related to the benefits of social media, types of social media, and downloading applications is quite good where the percentage obtained is above 70 percent. However, understanding regarding the use of Instagram is still lacking where the results only reach 65%. In this case, the government can provide special assistance to women in developing online-based businesses.
