This study focuses on the good, the bad and the ugly of using videoconferencing for work-related meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a text mining process and qualitative content analysis of 549 comments posted to a LinkedIn online discussion board, we identified six key themes; three were tied to camera and microphone issues, two involved eating and meeting management issues, and one dealt with work-from-home issues. These themes are discussed in relationship to media naturalness theory and meeting science. Because widespread use of videoconferencing will likely continue, we provide guidance for workplace policies/practices and suggest directions for future research.

AbstractPurpose -The purpose of this paper is to investigate postgraduate students' research behavior and requirements to come up with essential components to support research collaboration in a personal digital library (PDL). Design/methodology/approach -This study was conducted using a questionnaire survey method along with a few follow up interviews. A structured questionnaire was circulated among postgraduate students of the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (CSIT) of the University of Malaya (UM). A total of 100 participants answered the questionnaire, and 15 students participated in the follow up interview. The data collected were analyzed using SPSS statistical software. Findings -This research presents the benefit of collaboration in research. In addition, by reviewing collaborative support tools, it was inferred that the ability to share data and resources is the most important step in developing tools to support collaboration. Moreover, the important role of a virtual research environment (VRE) and social network to support research collaboration was examined. Furthermore, a closed-ended questionnaire survey together with a follow up open-ended survey was deployed among postgraduate students of CSIT of UM, to elicit students' collaboration requirements in research. Originality/value -Few attempts have been made to study about collaboration services within PDL systems and their impact on students' research. This paper proposes a prototype model of a PDL and highlights the importance of sharing e-resources as the prominent research collaboration activity among postgraduate students.
in this study researcher tried to improve relation between citizens and government by presenting a new model based on Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). With utilizing the presented model in government body on one hand governments will have the ability to minimize citizens' dissatisfaction and on the other hand it can encourage citizens to participate in controlling government body such as governments' staffs and organizations. This study can also be helpful in other fields of e-government in terms of citizen adoption and citizen loyalty. Results of this study can be a good reference to find out users needs from e-complaint and the importance of complaint in the body of government.
Research on the role of users of Digital Libraries is new and so far only a few articles address the importance of collaboration among Digital Library users. Personal Digital Libraries have a significant role to play not only in terms of Personal Information Management but also as a way to support collaboration and knowledge sharing between their users. In this study we refer to collaboration, personalization and social network as three important services of Personal Digital Library. The research starts with the definition of each service; then we analyze them in six Personal Digital Libraries. Consecutively we address the lack of collaboration between research students and we refer to them as holders of a large amount of articles. We thus propose the use of Web Based Personal Digital Library as a collaborative support tool for research students where they can store e-articles in their personal space and would be able to share them and collaborate with other students with similar research interests .
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
