Objetivo: Analisar o nível de conhecimento de Agentes Comunitários da Saúde (ACS’s) de uma Estratégia de Saúde da cidade de Belém - Pará sobre a depressão. Metodologia: Estudo transversal, descritivo e intervencionista, aprovado pelo Comitê de Ética em Pesquisa (CEP) que avaliou o conhecimento de ACS’s sobre depressão por meio de um questionário sóciodemográfico e um para avaliar o nível de conhecimentos sobre a patologia. Resultados: Participaram 11 ACS’s sendo 63,63% do sexo feminino, 54,55% com idade entre 30-39 anos, 54,55% possuíam ensino superior incompleto, 73% possuíam formação como ACS’s, 64% não conhecem nenhum método de prevenção da depressão (p<0.0051), todos acharam válido receber treinamento em transtornos mentais (p<0.0001). Do total, 9 agentes conheciam os sinais e sintomas de depressão (p<0.0001), complementaram que as mulheres são o público principal dessa patologia (p<0.0001), relatando que existem métodos preventivos (p<0.0051) contudo não sabem definir exemplos, e que conhecem que o tratamento é feito com medicamentos e abordagem psicoterapéutica (p<0.0001). Conclusão: Os ACS’s pesquisados conhecem a importancia do assunto (depressão) e que intervenção precoce no paciente pode ser importante no curso da doença, contudo desconhecem o curso clínico da doença, sua prevenção, e o fato de ser uma condição incapacitante.
Objetivo: Verificar a prevalência de parasitas gastrointestinais em crianças que residem na cidade de Belém – Pará e foram atendidas pela USF do Canal da Visconde. Métodos: Pesquisa quantitativa, transversal do tipo descritivo analítico com os resultados da análise de exames parasitológicos de fezes de crianças atendidas pela USF da pesquisa. Foi utilizado o teste T de Student e Qui-quadrado. Resultados: A maioria (73.6%, 81/110; p<0.0001) das crianças realizou o exame parasitológico de fezes, pelo método direto. Dentre as que não o fizeram o exame (48.3%) o responsável cancelou o exame enquanto os demais não compareceram ou não justificaram a ausência. A população apresentou uma prevalência de parasitismo em 75,3% sendo a maior positividade para cistos de protozoários (66,7%) e, dentre estes, o mais frequente foi a G. lamblia (70,4%), seguido pela E. coli (22,2%); a única espécie de helminto identificada pela técnica foi o A. lumbricoides, presente em 8,6% do total das amostras avaliadas. Conclusão: Os resultados encontrados sugerem que o aumento de enteroparasitoses é influenciado pela falta de medidas de higiene pessoal associadas a má qualidade de água para consumo, bem como coleta de lixo inadequada, são problemas encontrados na comunidade estudada.
Objetivo: relatar o caso de uma paciente hospitalizada com diagnóstico de Doença de Still e Síndrome de Ativação Macrofágica. Detalhamento de caso: Paciente do sexo feminino, 17 anos, negra, admitida na enfermaria de Clínica médica com relato de dor na garganta, oligoartrite, febre recorrente com média de 38,5 °C, manchas hipercrômicas pruriginosas em dorso, membros superiores e abdome que pioravam com pico febril há cerca de 30 dias, evoluindo durante internação com crise convulsiva seguida de sonolência, letargia, com resposta apenas aos estímulos dolorosos e hipotensão. No décimo dia de internação a paciente apresentou hepatoesplenomegalia ao exame físico, sem outras alterações significativas e queixa de amnesia retrógrada. Os exames laboratoriais constavam anemia, plaquetopenia, aumento de transaminases, hipertrigliceridemia, aumento de ferritina sérica e fibrinogênio no valor de 150, preenchendo 5 dos 9 critérios para diagnóstico de Síndrome da Ativação Macrofágica (SAM). Considerações finais: A doença de Still e a Síndrome de ativação Macrofágica são doenças raras, que implicam grande morbimortalidade na vida dos pacientes acometidos e são primariamente diagnósticos de exclusão. Este trabalho demonstra que o diagnóstico de Síndromes febris pode ser um desafio e reitera a importância da qualidade da assistência.
RESUMO A grande pandemia da Covid-19, ocasionada pela síndrome respiratória aguda grave 2 (SARS-CoV-2), afetou milhares de vidas ao redor de todo o mundo, sendo considerada pela Organização Mundial de Saúde uma emergência internacional de saúde pública. Além dos sintomas respiratórios clássicos, sintomas digestivos foram frequentemente identificados pelos infectados com doença. Anorexia, náuseas, vômitos, diarreia, dor abdominal, entre outros sintomas, não foram incomuns nestes pacientes, podendo inclusive ocorrer isoladamente ou precocemente em comparação com sintomas respiratórios. Diante disso, o presente estudo teve como objetivo revisar a literatura sobre manifestações gastrointestinais em pacientes infectados pelo novo coronavírus. A busca dos artigos foi realizada em bases de dados eletrônicas, utilizando os seguintes descritores: "covid-19", "sars-cov-2", "gastrointestinal disorder", "gastrointestinal diseases" e "diarrhea". A busca inicial resultou em 62 artigos. O processo de análise dos estudos envolveu leitura de títulos, resumos e textos completos. Ao retirar os artigos duplicados, e aplicar os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, restaram 22 estudos para análise. Após a análise dos dados, foram encontradas informações relevantes quanto ao perfil epidemiológico dos pacientes, sendo identificado o intervalo de idade de 41 a 70 anos, predominando o sexo masculino. Os sintomas mais prevalentes foram: inapetência, diarreia, náuseas, vômitos e dores abdominais. Em menor escala, também foram encontrados casos em que os pacientes apresentaram anorexia, hemoptise, hematoquezia, dor epigástrica, distensão abdominal, tenesmo, melena, refluxo, disfagia e constipação. Na literatura, ainda existem muitos questionamentos quanto ao comportamento do SARS-CoV-2 e sua relação com os sintomas gastrointestinais. Entretanto, as manifestações digestivas são importantes marcadores diagnósticos em pacientes infectados e devem ser consideradas e observadas com atenção, para que possam servir como ferramenta de auxílio no combate à pandemia.
