Este artigo objetiva apresentar uma revisão sobre a relação entre o Estresse e Diabetes do tipo 2. Foi realizada uma revisão de literatura narrativa na base de dados da biblioteca Virtual em Saúde por artigos publicados entre os anos de 2003 e 2013, utilizando os descritores “estresse e diabetes tipo 2” e suas combinações. Os achados desta revisão reforçam que há relação entre estresse e diabetes Os sintomas do estresse mais citados foram os psicológicos, sendo que a predominância do estresse foi maior nas mulheres que nos homens. Foi possível inferir que as mulheres com estresse elevado apresentaram controle glicêmico alterado. A maioria relatou sofrimento decorrente de problemas nas relações interpessoais, óbito, doença de familiares e solidão. Os resultados ainda sugerem que outros fatores, além dos emocionais, devem ser considerados na análise da adesão ao tratamento do diabetes. Houve maior proporção de trabalhadores diabéticos com sobrepeso, hipertensão arterial e glicemia capilar alterada, quando comparados aos que não tinham essa doença, ficando evidente que pacientes com doenças crônicas têm maior probabilidade de desenvolver formas patológicas de estresse, ansiedade e depressão, podendo apresentar ainda dificuldades no manejo da doença comprometendo a adesão ao tratamento e consequentemente sua qualidade de vida. Nossos resultados mostram a relação do estresse como fator associado à portadora de DM e a necessidade de medidas que incluam o controle de estresse ao tratamento preconizado para esta doença, com a finalidade de melhorar os níveis glicêmicos e prevenir o aparecimento de complicações.

O Diabetes Mellitus é uma doença crônica que ocorre quando o pâncreas não produz insulina suficiente, ou o organismo não é capaz de utilizar eficazmente a insulina produzida. A classificação atual pela Diabetes Mellitus baseia-se na etiologia e não no tipo de tratamento, os tipos mais frequentes são o tipo 1 e o tipo 2. O Diabetes Mellitus tem sido fortemente associado com o dano ao Sistema Nervoso Central e, consequentes déficits cognitivos e a mudanças estruturais e neurofisiológicas do cérebro. O presente estudo teve como objetivo investigar possíveis danos cognitivos em pacientes com Diabetes Mellitus tipo II em tratamento com insulina do Programa de Automonitoramento Glicêmico Capilar por meio de testagens neuropsicológicas. Métodos: Estudo censitário, observacional, transversal, analítico, com abordagem quantitativa. Foram avaliados 37 pacientes diabéticos tipo II, com idade a partir de 18 anos em uso de insulina e inscrito no Programa de Automonitoramento Glicêmico Capilar, analisados todos os prontuários, aplicado um questionário complementar e os testes Wais III e Wisconsin. Resultados: Na análise da idade e tempo de estudo dos pacientes com o teste Wisconsin a variável Percentual de Respostas de Nível Conceitual apresentaram diferença considerada estatisticamente significativa p<0,05. Discussão/Conclusão: O processo de envelhecimento por si só trás consigo perda de densidade cerebral e prejuízos cognitivos decorrentes do envelhecimento, demonstram ainda uma piora significativa das funções executivas quando associada a um quadro de DM conforme mostram nossos resultados.
O presente estudo teve como objetivo avaliar os transtornos mentais comuns em mães participantes do grupo de Serviço de Convivência e Fortalecimento de Vínculos de 0 a 6 anos, de um Centro de Assistência Social do município de Criciúma-SC. Pesquisa de abordagem quali-quantitativa, descritiva, exploratória e de campo. Aplicou-se Inventário de Depressão (BDI) e Inventário de Ansiedade (BAI), e posteriormente entrevista semiestruturada com as mães participantes do grupo. A análise dos dados quantitativos foi realizada de acordo com o Inventário proposto por Beck para ansiedade e depressão. A análise da entrevista semiestruturada foi realizada a partir da análise de conteúdo com a categorização dos dados. Os resultados quantitativos apontaram que 80% das mães apresentaram nível mínimo de depressão e 20% nível leve. Em relação à ansiedade 20% das mães apresentaram nível mínimo de ansiedade; 50% nível leve e 30% moderado. Os resultados dos índices de ansiedade e depressão denotam a necessidade de realizar trabalhos voltados para a saúde das mães participantes do grupo de convivência, como encaminhamentos, educação em saúde e como sugerido pelas participantes, palestras voltadas a este tema.Palavras-chave: Depressão. Evaluation of common mental disorders in mothers service group of coexistence and strengthening bonds of 0 to 6 years, a Social Service CentreABSTRACT: The present study had the objective of evaluating the common mental disorders in mothers participating in the Service of Coexistence and Strengthening of Links between 0 and 6 years old, of a Social Assistance Center of the city of Criciúma-SC. Qualitative, descriptive, exploratory and field-based research. Depression Inventory (BDI) and Anxiety Inventory (BAI) were applied, and then a semi-structured interview with the mothers participating in the group. Quantitative data analysis was performed according to Beck's Inventory for anxiety and depression. The analysis of the semi-structured interview was carried out from the analysis of content with the categorization of the data. The quantitative results indicated that 80% of the mothers had a minimum level of depression and a 20% level of depression. Regarding anxiety, 20% of the mothers had a minimum level of anxiety; 50% light level and 30% moderate. The results of the anxiety and depression indices indicate the need to carry out health-related work of the mothers participating in the coexistence group, such as referrals, health education and, as suggested by the participants, lectures on this theme.Keywords: Depression.
