The purpose of this article was to describe the cognitive abilities of early childhood in aquatic learning. This research uses a descriptive method. The subjects in this study were ten students of grade B children aged 5-6 years. The instrument in this study uses structured observation and field notes about children's cognitive ability which include class procedures, pool rules, playing rules, instruction language, and movement mechanics. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. The results showed that the cognitive ability of children aged 5-6 years in the Pilot Laboratory of UPI Campus Tasikmalaya was still in the Start Developing category. This can be seen from the findings in the Tasikmalaya UPI Pilot Laboratory Kindergarten that the score of children's cognitive abilities was 44%.
This study aims to describe the resilience profile of adolescent girls at the Aisyah Muhammadiyah Orphanage, North Sumatera. In this study, we will discuss aspects of resiliensi in the daily lives of adolescents in orphanages which include the aspects of, a).Emotion, b).Impulse control, c).Optimistic. d).Causal analysis, d),Empathy, e).Self efficacy, f).Reaching out. There are 30 young womwn, 17 people at the junior high school level and 13 people at senior high school level. To obtain data in this study, interviews and guestionnaires related to aspects of resiliensi were carried out. From the results of the study, it was found that in general the resilience of adolescent girls was in the medium category as many as 28 peopel (93.3%), and the low category as many as 2 people (6.67%). From the results of this study, a guidance will be created for young women in orphanages in strengthening and growing strong resilience in facing various problems and challenges in the future.
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang memadainya data tentang gangguan stres pascatrauma (PTSD) pada anak dan remaja korban bencana alam di Indonesia. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prevalensi PTSD serta memahami karakteristik gangguan PTSD yang dialami peserta didik korban bencana alam, Rancangan penelitian survey digunakan pada penelitian ini. Terdapat 859 anak dan remaja berusia antara 8 sampai dengan 17 tahun yang menjadi sampel penelitian dengan 485 partisipan berasal dari Jawa Barat (56,5%) dan 374 partisipan berasal dari Sumatra Barat (43,5%). Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen Downs Posttraumatic Stress Scale. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 171 orang (19,9%) memenuhi kriteria diagnosis PTSD. Diketahui bahwa kelompok usia remaja dan kelompok perempuan remaja lebih beresiko mengalami PTSD. Penelitian ini menunjukkan terjadinya respon trauma yang bersifat kronis atau respon tertunda. Temuan penelitian ini juga menunjukkan adanya perbedaan gejala trauma antara kelompok anak dan remaja serta kelompok laki-laki dan perempuan. Penelitian ini menunjukkan masih membekasnya memori tentang bencana, adanya bentuk coping kognitif maladaptif serta distorsi kognitif, serta terjadinya masalah sosial-emosi, pada anak dan remaja korban bencana alam.
Resilience is the ability to remain stable in maintaining balance after facing various difficulties and tribulations. The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of group exercise techniques to develop student resilience. This study used a quantitative approach and quasi-experimental method with non-equivalent pretest-posttest control-group design. The study population was 421 high school students, and the research samples were selected by purposive sampling technique. The resilience level of Indonesia high-school student is mostly in the medium category. The findings showed that group exercises technique is effective to develop students’ resilience. Simple regression test results showed that the correlation between group counselling and group exercises techniques is quite strong. Program recommendation of group exercise techniques is aimed at schools that require group counselling programs with group exercise technique to develop student resilience, school counsellor and for future researchers to develop research with different subjects such as students in junior or elementary school or for adults.
