The use of information technology and communication (ICT) is widely applied in student career guidance services. In addition to increasing student accessibility in obtaining career information, the use of ICT can also be used as a reference system in decision making known as expert systems. The focus of the research in this paper is to analyze the results of research related to the impact of the application of expert systems in student guidance on aspects of educational guidance, educational evaluation and aspects of academic career guidance and work guidance. Overall, review findings on the topics and sub-topics analyzed show that the application of expert systems in educational guidance greatly helps students achieve: learning success, specialization in education and training, student performance, achievement and self evaluation. Given the lack of development of expert systems in the field of student career guidance, it is very necessary for continuous development, especially in aspects of uncertainty arising from application and user factors.
Mathematical problem solving ability is the main method which is very important in learning mathematics. The ability of problem solving needs to be possessed by every individual to meet life in an increasingly advanced world. The individual problem solving abilities are different. One of the things that affect students” problem solving ability is adversity quotient (AQ). Method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with subjects as many as 3 students of class XI majoring in Light Vehicle Engineering at SMK S Muhamadiyah Salatiga. The selection of subjects uses purposive sampling with the instrument of problem solving ability based on Polya and AQ questionnaire. Data validity uses data triangulation methods. This research uses data analysis in the form of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The result of this research indicate students with the type of quitters are able to carry out the step to understand the problem. Students with AQ type campers are able to carry out the steps of understanding the problem, planning solution and carrying out a plan of resolution. Climbers type students are able to carry out step to understand the problem, plan the completion, carry out the settlement and check again.
Mahasiswa biasanya menghadapi tekanan akibat proses akulturasi dengan budaya baru di tempat ia menuntut ilmu karena harus menghadapi perubahan budaya, perubahan gaya hidup, perubahan lingkungan dan mahasiswa dituntut untuk mampu memenuhi tuntutan perilaku, kognitif, serta afektif yang muncul dari lingkungan Resiliensi sangat diperlukan bagi individu khususnya mahasiswa agar mampu menghadapi dan bertahan dengan lingkungan dan budaya baru. Peran Bimbingan dan konseling untuk membantu mahasiswa agar memiliki kompetensi pribadi resiliensi adalah dengan memberikan upaya preventif berupa Bimbingan Konseling Bermain dengan pendekatan kognitif behavior. Metode yang digunakan adalah literatur review. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah upaya preventif yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengembangkan resiliensi mahasiswa adalah dengan menggunakan kegiatan bimbingan kelompok dengan strategi bermain menggunakan pendekatan kognitif behavioral. Jenis permainan pada permainan ini adalah permainan-permainan tradisional meliputi permainan hompimpa, ular tangga, bakiak dan congklak.
Problem-solving ability is a basic skill of the 21st century. The problem-solving ability of each individual is not only about the result assessed but also their attitude in the problem-solving process. The attitude here is a mathematical disposition. This research used descriptive qualitative analysis to determine and describe the extent to wich the indicators of mathematical problem-solving abilities have been achieved and to determine the level of the students’ mathematical disposition categories. Sampling was conducted by utilizing purposive sampling technique and obtained three subjects from the eleventh-grade students of SMK Muhammadiyah Salatiga. There were two instruments used in this research there are a mathematical problem-solving ability test and a mathematical disposition questionnaire. The validity of the data used was the data triangulation method. Results showed that student in the high mathematical disposition category is able to carry out all of Polya’s problem-solving stages. Student in the moderate mathematical disposition category can carry out the stages of understanding the problem, devising the problem-solving plan and carrying out the paln. In addition, student in the low mathematical disposition category can carry out the stage of understanding the problem.
