This study aimed at identifying the role of faculty members in developing a sense of patriotism amongst students at Jadara University and Jerash Al Ahlia from the students' point of view. The researchers adopted a descriptive approach. A questionnaire was used as a study tool. The study sample consisted of (707) students from both universities. The results showed that the faculty members had a very high significant role in developing a sense of patriotism among their students. The results also showed that there were differences attributable to (the gender, university, and college variable) and that there were also differences attributable to the variable "year of study" which came in favor of the second, third, and fourth year. Based on the results of the study, the researchers recommended enhancing the role of the faculty member in developing students' awareness of the importance of the sense of patriotism and its positive role on the security and stability of their nation and motivating students to adhere to financial obligations towards their country and its prosperity.
The study aimed to reveal the degree of application of academic leaders in Jordanian universities to the concept of trust in achieving integrity and transparency from the perspective of faculty members. The researcher used a descriptive survey method and a questionnaire as a study tool. The study sample consisted of (300) faculty members. The results showed that the degree of academic leaders' application of the concept of trust in achieving integrity and transparency came to a large degree, and the results showed that there were no statistically significant differences in the responses of the sample members on the degree of application of trust in achieving integrity and transparency due to the variables: gender, academic rank, job title and type of College, while there were differences due to the variable type of university that was in favor of private universities.
The present study aims at revealing the level of competence of the administrative staff at Yarmouk University. In order to achieve the objective of the study, a population of 291 individuals were randomly selected. The results show that level of functional efficiency was average. Moreover, there were statistically significant differences due to gender and qualification. The female participants scored significantly higher than the males and those who have postgraduate degrees were always significantly different from the other participants. The results did not reveal any statistically significant differences due to the effects of years of service and job title. In light of these results, the researcher recommends the need to pay more attention to the use of technology in the workplace to create an environment conducive to the activation of the functional efficiency and to exploit the creative energies available as quickly and effortlessly as possible.
Objectives: The current study aimed to reveal the passion for scientific research among graduate students in the universities of the northern region in Jordan. the study sample consisted of 410 faculty members.
Method: to achieve Objectives of the study, a descriptive analytical approach was applied. A questionnaire consisting of (41) items distributed to four areas: curiosity, surprise and personal pleasure, students' future aspirations, and students' academic motives.
Results: the results of the current study showed that the passion for scientific research among graduate students came With a medium degree closer to low. the results also showed that there are no statistically significant differences attributed to the variable of sex, academic rank and university type.
Conclusions: The study recommended conducting studies dealing with the relationship of the passion for scientific research with other variables, Such as: cognitive competence, emotional intelligence, and professional acumen.
