Abstract. The article discusses issues dealing with efficiency of construction work mechanization. It offers a mathematical model for assessment of mutual influence between the members of the 'construction site-machine-operator' system triad, that can give a quantitative assessment of how the efficiency of a technological task varies with more comprehensive use of operational capacities of the machine, while lower effect that limiting parameters of production environment and technical condition of the machine have on the operator. The article contains a constructive remote control solution for upgrade of the base machine. It describes the conditions for using the machines with hybrid: manual and remote control at construction sites. There is also an imitation model of operator's scanning pattern and data experimental research that prove the efficiency of remotely controlled technological operations. The article proves that lower psychological load on the operator and better comfort contribute to positive economic effect and higher quality of the construction process.
Justified the application of the basic principles of the theory of dynamical systems in the study of the elemental balance of system "environment-man-technique" (EMT). It is established that the irreducibility of the system properties to the sum of the properties of its constituents leads to contradictions. The aim of the research is the development of methods to detect contradictions in the system EMT by assessing the consistency of its elements. The methodological base of the adopted theoretical generalization of scientific provisions of the leading scientists of the industry, constituting the content of the theory of machines. When solving the tasks, we used methods of systems theory, the theory of mathematical statistics, the theory of risk and catastrophe theory, methods of similarity and dimensions. Empirical dependences were based on regression analysis and are presented in the dimensionless form. In the process of research assessed the consistency of the elements for an idealized systems, which offered the reference indicators of their energy sustainability. Considered the behavior of each element of the system for the whole period of the life cycle in real conditions, obtained graphic dependences. The revealed contradictions in the interaction elements of the system EMT showed that current tasks, manmade and implemented technical means lead to the loss of stable equilibrium inside the "environment", which in turn affects the balance of life-support of the person item, evidence in the form established that in both cases, a loss of equilibrium state calls a "technique". Developed histogram situational assessment model perturbation in the system EMT can not only set the emerging element of contradiction, but also to develop a model of governance that ensures the balance of the elements of the system with a high level of security.
The specifics of reclamation works are associated with difficult conditions for their mechanization. Seasonality of the work requires an increase in the efficiency of using machines, preferably with the absence of their failures. Usually, equipment failures in melioration organizations are eliminated at the place of machine’s work (units) by the on-site repair teams equipped with mobile repair workrooms (MRWs). Cost analysis of the units operation in the technological complex shows that there is an optimal amount of MRWs for performing repair and technical impacts. The authors develop a technique for selecting mobile repair workrooms and their completeness with repair equipment. It justifies the effectiveness of the inclusion of the service department to eliminate machine failures when performing technical works of mobile repair and maintenance services, basing on a car chassis, with special equipment and accessories infrastructure.
It is evident from the experience of operating the construction machinery (excavators, bulldozers, loaders etc.) that quite often the machinery and its operators are working under severe conditions. Working under threat of rock fall, on unstable or contaminated grounds, or debris handling tends to increase the impact of adverse occupational environment on the operators' health. When the operators are at risk, it is advisable to deploy remote process control technologies on the work sites. This is what brings research and development of modern remote control systems to the top of the chart in order to improve the productivity of machinery, enhance the safety and quality of the jobs carried out. The use of remote control will exclude the adverse impact of aggressive environment during the process operations. The research allowed to establish that the design specifics of the construction and road-making machines enable them to go far beyond the standard process layout giving into a much wider range of application, up to aggressive environments. A crawler excavator model was devised, imitating the visibility range of the process areas for the manual and remote control systems. Implementation of remote control for construction and road-making machines may become a step towards a completely new level of interaction within the man-machine-environment system.
