The aim of this study is to develop an effective web-based character-building model for managing school in Jakarta in Indonesia. The method of Research and Development (R&D) has been conducted in this study. Development of the model of web-based character-building regarding the four aspects of integration of character values in classroom, school culture, extracurricular activities, and through community involvement. The product of this research is available at URL: https://pembangunankarakter.wixsite.com/characterbuilding. Expert validation, limited, and extensive field test result arrived at 3.65, 3.89, and 3.68 from scores ranging 1 to 4 indicating that this product was valid, practical, and effective model. Consequently, it can be stated that web-based character-building model for managing school in Jakarta in Indonesia has been effective to improve the student positive characters. In this sense, it is recommended that the model developed in the scope of the study applied for school management in Jakarta can also be implemented for managing school in other cities in Indonesia.
The aim of this study is to propose environmental quality model in order to have sustainable environment. This survey study distributed the questionnaires to 375 persons of local community in Jakarta in Indonesia using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The research found that model suggested was good fit for the data. The study result presents that socio-economic domain have significant positive association with of environmental quality. However, the positive associations between ecological domain and meteorological domain was not confirmed in this study. The use intensity of water resources and food production have significant positive association with ecological domain. However, the relationship between waste management and ecological domain was not supported in this study. Air pollutant, water pollution, and earth temperature have significant positive connection with meteorological domain. Water shortages, human health problems, and community environmental awareness have significantly positive relationship with socio-economic domain. It can be concluded that environmental quality model hypothesized can be used for local community in Jakarta in Indonesia in order to have sustainable environment.
This article aims to explain the values of historical consciousness and national character education as a basis for shaping social behavior to defend the nation's ideology. This research is a literature study. Pancasila ideology is an inspiration of the character and personality for the Indonesians. Nevertheless, Indonesian people are starting that ideology. If this is allowed to drag on, it will threaten the loss of the ideology of the nation. Enhancing historical consciousness values and national character education for all could help to overcome this problem.Historical consciousness consist of sense of awareness, self-knowledge about what has happened to one selves and the nation that makes humans want to self-reflect and imitate, and implement the values contained in the Pancasila ideology, namely being able and willing to have good social behavior. Meanwhile, national character education is a reflection of the Pancasila ideology. So, it is very important to provide national character education from an early age so that it is accustomed and easy to behave according to Pancasila values, namely being willing and able to have good social behavior. The values of historical consciousness and national character education have been deeply embedded in a nation indirectly reflect the strength of the Pancasila ideology. Thus, maintaining the nation's ideology can be done by forming good social behavior which is instilled through historical consciousness values and national character education
International collaboration of community service is in the Province of Jakarta. The target of this community service is elementary school teachers in the Province of Jakarta in Indonesia. The problem with the target audiences is that the competences in applying innovative teaching of elementary school teachers in the Province of Jakarta has not been managed properly and their interests in implementing innovative teaching are still low. The socialization of applying innovative teaching given is related to developing the competences of applying innovative teaching to support primary school digitalization with appropriate learning activity programs, understanding the concepts of innovative teaching, school digitalization, and assessment of the competences of applying innovative teaching to measure the success of this community services. Evaluation of process and results is done to find out the competences of elementary school teachers in applying innovative teaching.
The aim of this research is to develop environmental science model on the basis of 2-dimension animation for junior high school students in Jakarta in Indonesia. This research and development were conducted in Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. This research built four products with 2-dimension animation related to global warming, recycling, ozone layer, biodiversity, and mangrove forest. These products were developed using animation technique involving manipulating physical objects in creating the illusion of motion with 2-dimension animation software. Validation of experts attained 3.72 from scores ranging 1 to 4 pointing out that this model is already valid as environmental science model. These products had been revised based on recommendation from expert connected with the content and presentation technique. It can be stated that this model is valid as environmental science model on the basis of 2-dimension animation in Jakarta in Indonesia.
