Disabilities as a result of musculoskeletal disorders increased by 45% from 1990 to 2010. In the United States, the prevalence of OA increased from 6.6% in 1999 to 14.3% in 2014 [7]. However, in the same time-period, in the United States, the prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) reduced from 5.9% to 3.8% [7].
