Pengetahuan tentang kosmetik diperlukan oleh seseorang terutama ahli kecantikan agar dapat melakukan pemilihan kosmetik yang tepat sehingga perawatan wajah yang dilakukan memberikan hasil yang benar. Siswa SMK N 7 Padang termasuk dalam kategori remaja. Remaja selalu cenderung memperhatikan penampilannya, salah satunya penampilan kulit wajah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk a) mendeskripsikan tingkat pengetahuan kosmetika, b) mendeskripsikan bagaimana pemilihan kosmetik perawatan kulit wajah, c) mendeskripsikan hubungan pengetahuan kosmetika dengan pemilihan kosmetik perawatan kulit wajah siswa kelas XI Jurusan Tata Kecantikan SMK Negeri 7 Padang.Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI jurusan Tata Kecantikan SMK Negeri 7 Padang yang berjumlah 47 orang dengan teknik total sampling. Teknik pengambilan data adalah munggunakan angket (kuesioner) yang disesuaikan dalam bentuk analisis butir dan Likert yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisa data menggunakan uji korelasi dan uji t.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tingkat pencapaian persentase sebesar 74,21% dengan kategori pengetahuan sedang, tingkat pencapaian responden diperoleh persentase sebesar 84,08% dengan kategori tepat dan terdapat hubungan pengetahuan kosmetika dengan pemilihan kosmetik perawatan kulit wajah siswa kelas XI Jurusan Tata Kecantikan SMK Negeri 7 Padang, artinya hipotesa Ha diterima.Disarankan bagi siswa agar dapat menerapkan pengetahuan yang telah dimiliki dalam memilih kosmetika. Memiliki pertimbangan yang benar dalam memilih kosmetika tidak hanya berdasarkan keinginan dan pengaruh lingkungan tetapi lebih kepada pengetahuan terhadap dampak baik dan buruk dalam memilih kosmetika perawatan kulit wajah yang digunakan.
Traditional moringa leaf masks can be used as an alternative as a natural facial treatment cosmetic for scaly, rough and dull skin. This study aims to: 1) analyze the feasibility of traditional moringa leaf masks judging by the content of vitamins (labor test), 2) analyze the feasibility of traditional moringa leaf masks judging by texture, aroma, and ness (organoleptic test), 3) analyze the feasibility of traditional moringa leaf masks judging by the panelists' fondness (hedonic test). The type of research used is quantitative descriptive research. The variables in this study are free variables (x) and bound variables (Y). Data retrieval techniques using documentation, observations and tests. Data analysis techniques using presentase formulas. Based on the results of laboratory tests shows that the content of Vitamins B1 and C is still present in the traditional mask of moringa leaves. Based on organoleptic and hedonic testing of the traditional feasibility mask of moringa leaves, judging by the texture, most panelists say that the texture of the moringa leaf mask is smooth, for aroma, most panelists say that the moringa leaf mask is strong, for ness, all panelists say that the moringa leaf mask is attached, and for the fondness of panelists most say like a moringa leaf mask.
The problem in this study was college students have difficulty to understanding the basic concepts of makeup and face shape correction in Makeup for Basic Make up course. This is indicated by the low student results obtained by students, and if this continues it feared would undermine the quality of education. The difficulty is thought to occur due to non optimal use of learning media by lecturers.Based on these problems is carried out through research efforts to develop learning media using video for Basic Makeup courses, that can help students understand the concepts and be able to practice in accordance with the concept.This research is the development of research. Model and procedure development using 4-D model (four - D model) consists of stages define, design, develop and disseminate. In the define phase analysis of curriculum and student analysis. In the design phase carried out using a video learning media in Basic Makeup course. At this stage of develop validated expertise and limited testing on students, to find out the practicalities and effectiveness of video media are developed. Phase disseminate not done. Researchers conducted a test of the media to see if the media produced valid, practical, and effective. The results of the data analysis showed that media video for Basic Make up, based learning using three criteria: (1) the terms of didactic 90.62% with very valid category, (2) construct terms 88.28% with very valid category, (3) technical requirements 95% with very valid category, the average percentage of 91.30% with very valid category. This suggests that the validity of the video media is in the category of very valid. Meanwhile, the average percentage of the practicalities of media by rating lecturers are 92.49%, based on test applicability media by students in small groups were 81.66% and based on the test applicability media by all students is 94.59%. Based on the test results of the practicalities of this media has been in the category of very practical. Based on test media effectiveness, student activity increased by 86,10% While the percentage success rate of student results that 88,88% of students have achieved the minimum 75. This means learning to use video media has been valid, practical and effective. It can be concluded that the use of learning media video in Basic Makeup course can be used as a medium of learning in Educational Studies Program Makeup and Beauty Faculty of Engineering, State University of Padang.
Learning Skin Care is one of the compulsory subjects in the Department of Beauty And Cosmetology FPP UNP. The problems encountered in learning Facial Skin Care are students having difficulty in understanding massage tehnic and problematic facial care techniques with technology. This causes student learning outcomes are relatively low. The purpose of this research is to develop interactive multimedia learning media on Facial Skin Care courses that are practical, valid and effective. This research was conducted in the cosmetology and beauty department of FPP UNP. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) research method. Interactive multimedia validation of Facial Skin Care courses conducted by material validators and media and language display an average of 3.68% with the category "very valid" Whereas the practicality of interactive multimedia seen from the response of lecturers who get an average of 3.60% and students 3.79%. This shows the interactive multimedia Facial Skin Care, including the category "very practical".
