This work describes a simple preparation of 1‐diazo‐2‐naphthol‐4‐sulfonic acid (1,2,4‐acid) and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) modified glassy carbon electrode (GCE) for the simultaneous detection of Co(II) and Cu(II). MWCNTs, with their good conductivity and large surface area, were drop‐casted onto the surface of the GCE prior to the electrodeposition of 1,2,4‐acid, a metal chelating agent. Co(II) and Cu(II) were simultaneously measured by differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry (DPASV) in a batch system. Under optimum conditions, the linear range of Co(II) was between 0.10 and 2.5 μg mL−1 with an LOD of 80 ng mL−1. Two linear ranges were obtained for Cu(II), 0.0050 to 0.030 μg mL−1 and 0.040 to 0.25 μg mL−1,with an LOD of 2.4 ng mL−1. The method offered a high operational stability for up to 52 measurements (RSD=3.4 % for Co(II) and 2.6 % for Cu(II)) and good reproducibility (RSD=1.2 % for Co(II) and 1.7 % for Cu(II)). In the simultaneous detection of Co(II) and Cu(II), there was no effect from common interferences found in wastewater. The method was successfully applied in real water samples with good recoveries (88.2±0.8 to 102.0±0.8 % for Co(II) and 96.5±0.4 to 103.8±0.9 % for Cu(II)) and the results were in good agreement with those obtained from inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP‐OES) (P>0.05).
abstrakPendidikan karakter dalam kitab Ta'lim al-Muta'allim oleh Burhanuddin al-Zarnuji adalah internalisasi nilai-nilai adab ke dalam pribadi siswa. Internalisasi ini merupakan proses pembangunan jiwa yang berasaskan konsep keimanan. Gagalnya sebuah pendidikan karakter yang terjadi selama ini disebabkan karena pendidikan karakter yang diajarkan minus nilai keimanan dan konsep adab. Sehingga, proses pembangunan karakter tersendat bahkan hilang sama sekali. Untuk membentuk penuntut ilmu yang berkarakter dan beradab, maka pendidikan Islam harus mengarahkan target pendidikan pada pembangunan individu yang memahamai tentang kedudukannya, baik kedudukan dihadapan Tuhan, masyarakat, dan dirinya sendiri. Kitab Ta'lim al-Muta'allim merumuskan tiga metode penting dalam pembentukan karakter yang mencakup adab dhahir dan batin, meliputi metode ilqa' al-nasihah (pemberian nasehat) dan kasih sayang; metode Mudzakarah, Munadharah, dan Mutharahah; Metode pembentukan mental jiwa. Ketiga metode tersebut perlu untuk diuji relevansinya dengan kondisi pendidikan saat ini. Penelitian yang bersifat studi kepustakaan ini menunjukkan bahwa tiga metode tersebut masih relevan untuk digunakan dalam pendidikan saat ini. kata kunci: pendidikan karakter, metode, adab, batin
Three chemical representation is an important aspect of chemistry learning. However, the database study shows that interactive chemistry learning media containing three levels of representation is not available. This research aims to develop and assess the feasibility of an interactive Android-based learning module for senior high school students containing three chemical representation levels on the material of salt hydrolys-is. The study was conducted using research and development (RD) method. Stages of research were con-ducted as follows, analysis, development process, product validation and assessment. The Android module was subsequently validated by media and concept experts and then limitedly assessed by five chemistry teachers and ten senior high school students. The instrument used was validated by an instrument expert. The validation results by media and concept experts indicated that the media was valid in terms of media performance and salt hydrolysis material. Based on teachers' and students' assessments, the media received a score of 87.5% and 83.0%, with very good category. It can be concluded that the interactive Android-based learning module containing three chemical representations on the material of salt hydrolysis was successful-ly developed and can be tested extensively in senior high school. The developed media closed a significant gap in the need of interactive chemistry learning media containing three levels of chemical representation, especially in the material of salt hydrolisis
This work describes a study of puzzles development of laboratory safety symbols for laboratory introduction. The puzzles were purposed as a learning media for students prior to work in chemistry and science laboratory. The puzzles consisted of two different standard systems, Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 704. For instructional development, the media was developed using four-D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). This work was in develop stage and the media was qualitatively tested in State Islamic University Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta, Indonesia and non-university student visited to laboratory in Faculty of Science, Prince of Songkla University, Thailand by quiz-team method.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemahaman dan sikap mahasiswa terhadap penerapan pendidikan karakter di Prodi Pendidikan Kimia UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif melalui pendekatan kuantitatif dengan bantuan SPSS 26.0 for windows. Populasi penelitian adalah mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia angkatan 2014 dan angkatan 2019 yang berjumlah sekitar 200 mahasiswa, dan diambil sampel sebesar 36% dari semua populasi mahasiswa Pendidikan Kimia yaitu sebanyak 72 mahasiswa dengan teknik proportional random sampling. Variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pemahaman dan sikap terhadap pendidikan karakter mahasiswa laki-laki dan perempuan Prodi Pendidikan Kimia UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemhaman dan sikap mahasiswa laki-laki Prodi Pendidikan Kimia UIN Sunan Kalijaga didominasi dalam kategori baik, yaitu sebesar 91%, sedangkan kategori cukup baik hanya 9% dan untuk pemahaman dan sikap mahasiswa perempuan juga didominasi dalam kategori baik, yaitu sebesar 93.4%, sedangkan kategori cukup hanya 6%.
