RESUMOObjetivou-se, no presente trabalho realizar uma caracterização dos sucos de uva de cinco cultivares de videira americana Vitis labrusca (Folha de Figo, Alwood, Concord, BRS-Rúbea e Isabel) segundo suas características visuais, olfativas e gustativas, utilizando um método descritivo por um painel de degustadores da Embrapa Uva e Vinho (EMBRAPA/CNPUV) de Bento Gonçalves e da Associação Brasileira de Enologia (ABE), constituído por doze degustadores. De acordo com os resultados, os sucos das cultivares Isabel e Folha de Figo foram superiores aos demais, segundo a análise de componentes principais (ACP), principalmente pelas variáveis limpidez, equilíbrio olfativo, intensidade e corpo gustativo, persistência olfato-gustativa e julgamento geral (notas). O suco Folha de Figo foi superior ao Isabel quanto à tonalidade, sendo o primeiro caracterizado como vermelho-violáceo. A cultivar Folha de Figo é a mais utilizada na região para a produção de suco, podendo os produtores utilizarem também a cultivar Isabel, que mostrou potencial nas condições edafo-climáticas do sul de Minas Gerais. ABSTRACTThe present work was designed to accomplish the characterization of the different grape juices of five grapevine cultivars of Vitis labrusca (Folha de Figo, Alwood, Concord, BRS-Rúbea e Isabel) according to their visual, smell and taste characteristics utilizing a descriptive method by a panel of tasters of Embrapa Grape and Wine (EMBRAPA/CNPUV) of Bento Gonçalves, and of the Brazilian Enology Association (ABE) consisting of 12 tasters. According to the results, the juices of the cultivars Isabel and Folha de Figo were higher than the others, analyzed statistically according to the Principal Component Analysis (PCA), mainly by the visual cleanliness variables, olfatory equilibrium, gustative body and quality, olfato-gustative persistence and general judgement (scores) and the juice of Folha de Figo was higher than Isabel according to visual shade, the former being characterized as violet-red. Folha de Figo is the most used cultivar for grape juices. Isabel would be also used, with a great potential in the environmental conditions of the south of Minas Gerais estate.

RESUMO-Este trabalho teve como objetivo determinar a metodologia mais eficiente para superação da dormência em sementes de Myracrodruon urundeuva. As sementes foram submetidas a 16 tratamentos: testemunha-sementes intactas (T 1); escarificação mecânica com lixa d'água nº. 80 por 3, 6 e 9 min (T 2 , T 3 e T 4 , respectivamente), imersão em ácido sulfúrico por 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 e 12 min (T 5 , T 6 , T 7 , T 8 , T 9 e T 10 , respectivamente), escarificação mecânica com lixa d'água nº. 80, por 3, 6 e 9 min, seguida de embebição em água na temperatura ambiente por 24 h (T 11 , T 12 e T 13 , respectivamente) e escarificação mecânica com lixa d'água nº. 80, por 3, 6 e 9 min, seguida de embebição em solução de nitrato de potássio (KNO 3) na temperatura ambiente por 24 h (T 14 , T 15 e T 16 , respectivamente). Os efeitos foram avaliados por meio de testes de emergência e de vigor (percentual de emergência, primeira contagem e índice de velocidade de emergência, comprimento e massa seca das plântulas). O delineamento utilizado foi o inteiramente ao acaso, com quatro subamostras de 25 sementes, sendo as médias comparadas pelo teste de Scott-Knott. Os resultados dos tratamentos envolvendo a embebição em água e em KNO 3 não foram satisfatórios para superar a dormência de sementes de M. urundeuva. Constatou-se que houve diferença significativa entre os tratamentos em todas as variáveis avaliadas, e a dormência pôde ser superada eficientemente pela imersão em ácido sulfúrico por 12 min. PRE-GERMINATION TREATMENTS IN Myracrodruon urundeuva FREIRE ALLEMÃO SEEDS ABSTRACT-This study was carried out aiming at determining the most efficient methodology to overcome dormancy in Myracrodruon urundeuva seeds. The 16 treatments employed were: control-intact seeds (T 1); mechanical scarification with sandpaper for 3, 6 and 9 minutes (T 2 , T 3 and T 4 , respectively), immersion in sulfuric acid pondered for 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 minutes (T 5 , T 6 , T 7 , T 8 , T 9 and T 10 , respectively), mechanical scarification with sandpaper of water number. 80, for 3, 6 and 9 minutes, followed by immersion in water at room temperature during 24 hours (T 11 , T 12 and T 13 , respectively) and mechanical scarification with sandpaper of water number. 80, for 3, 6 and 9 minutes followed by immersion in solution of potassium nitrate (KNO 3) at room temperature during 24 hours (T 14 , T 15 and T 16 , respectively). RESUMOA cultura do girassol (Helianthus annuus L.) pode ser conduzida em diversas épocas do ano, destacando-se desta forma, entre as culturas viáveis de serem exploradas nas savanas (lavrados) de Roraima. Entretanto, as cultivares podem apresentar diferenças de adaptação e desenvolvimento dependendo da área de cultivo. Assim, desenvolveu-se este estudo comparativo em área experimental da Embrapa Roraima em 2000, visando avaliar o desempenho de seis cultivares (Agrobel 910; Agrobel 920; Cargill 11; Embrapa 122; Morgan 742; e Rumbosol 91) semeadas em duas épocas (seca, com irrigação suplementar; e chuvosa) em Boa Vista, Roraima. Utilizaram-se parcelas subdivididas num delineamento de blocos ao acaso com quatro repetições, sendo as duas épocas de semeadura em 20 de janeiro e 19 de julho. As subparcelas constaram de quatro fileiras de 6 m, distanciadas de 0,90 m, sendo 0,30 m o espaçamento entre plantas. As cultivares Cargill 11, Rumbosol 91 e Agrobel 910 foram as mais produtivas para cultivo nas condições climáticas das savanas de Roraima, e a semeadura em janeiro é mais indicada, comparada a de julho. A dinâmica do efluxo de dióxido de carbono (CO 2 ) do solo e seus fatores controladores em sistemas agroflorestais da Amazônia são pouco compreendidas. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar a variação temporal do efluxo de CO 2 do solo em sistemas agroflorestais onde a palma de óleo é a cultura principal e sua relação com fatores bióticos (carbono microbiano do solo, carbono total do solo, respiração microbiana do solo, raízes finas do solo, indivíduos componentes dos sistemas agroflorestais (SAFs) ) e abióticos (umidade e temperatura do solo). As medições foram realizadas nos períodos menos chuvoso (dezembro de 2010) e chuvoso (maio de 2011). O efluxo de CO 2 do solo foi mais alto no período chuvoso, provavelmente, devido à maior atividade microbiana nesse período influenciada por fatores climáticos aliados a fatores bióticos. O efluxo de CO 2 do solo se correlacionou positivamente com umidade do solo e carbono da biomassa microbiana e negativamente com temperatura do solo e quociente metabólico, porém as correlações foram fracas. O efluxo de CO 2 do solo foi sensível ao tipo de sistema agroflorestal e a sazonalidade da precipitação. Temporal variation of soil CO 2 efflux in oil palm-based agroforestry systems in eastern Amazon ABSTRACTThe soil carbon dioxide (CO 2 ) efflux dynamics and its controlling factors of Amazonian agroforestry systems are poorly understood. The objective of this study was to evaluate the temporal variation of soil CO 2 efflux in oil palm-based agroforestry systems and the relation between efflux and biotic (microbial and total soil carbon, microbial respiration, fine roots, individual components of agroforestry systems (AFS)) and abiotic factors (soil moisture and temperature). The measurements were taken during the less rainy (December 2010) and rainy (May 2011) periods. The soil CO 2 efflux was highest during the rainy season, probably due to increased microbial activity influenced by climatic factors coupled with biotic factors. The soil CO 2 efflux correlated positively with soil moisture and microbial biomass carbon and negatively with soil temperature and metabolic quotient, but these correlations were weak. The soil CO 2 efflux was sensitive to the type of agroforestry system and to rainfall seasonality.

A pesquisa objetivou avaliar efeitos da forma de colheita e do tratamento fungicida sobre a qualidade de sementes de milho, armazenadas durante 24 meses, utilizando delineamento inteiramente casualizado. As sementes cultivar BR 106, após tratadas, foram acondicionadas em sacos de papel e armazenadas em condições de ambiente de laboratório. Aos zero, 12 e 24 meses, as sementes foram submetidas a determinação da qualidade física, fisiológica e sanitária. A colheita manual em espigas, propiciou sementes de melhor qualidade física e fisiológica, principalmente durante o armazenamento. O tratamento com fungicida diminuiu a contaminação das sementes pelos fungos Penicillium sp. e por Aspergillus sp.

RESUMO -A alelopatia é um importante mediador de interferências que alteram a dinâmica de espécies de plantas em sistemas agrícolas. Neste trabalho, procurou-se determinar a existência de padrão de respostas das plantas daninhas Mimosa pudica e Senna obtusifolia a espécies da família Poaceae, via interação entre espécies e frações e ordenamento dos efeitos. Bioensaios de germinação de sementes e alongamento da radícula e do hipocótilo foram desenvolvidos, em condições controladas. Os testes foram realizados utilizando-se extratos hidroalcoólicos na concentração de 1,0% das frações folha, raiz e sementes de quatro espécies de Poaceae. Diferenças na intensidade dos efeitos para os fatores espécie e fração foram verificadas. O padrão de atividade observado foi de Paspalum maritimum apresentar as inibições mais intensas. Entre as espécies de Brachiaria, as inibições mais intensas foram produzidas por B. brizantha. Houve resposta efetiva para a especificidade entre espécies e fração para a germinação e alongamento da radícula, especialmente na espécie Mimosa pudica. Apenas para os extratos de P. maritimum foram observadas especificidade e efetividade em relação à germinação de sementes e alongamento da radícula da espécie Senna obtusifolia. A fração folha foi mais efetiva nas inibições, sobretudo na espécie P. maritimum. Comparativamente, a espécie Mimosa pudica foi mais sensível aos efeitos dos extratos, especialmente em relação ao desenvolvimento da radícula e do hipocótilo. A intensidade dos efeitos alelopáticos variou na seguinte ordem: alongamento da radícula > germinação de sementes > alongamento do hipocótilo. A ordenação dos resultados, para os indicadores de inibição, indicou discriminação no padrão para as espécies receptoras, o que sugere especificidade dos extratos.Palavras-chave: alelopatia, Brachiaria, autovetores, invasoras, Paspalum.ABSTRACT -Allelopathy is an important device to measure interferences affecting the dynamics of plant species in agricultural systems. This study aimed to determine the existence of response patterns of the weeds Mimosa pudica and Senna obtusifolia to species of the family Poaceae, through interaction between species and fractions, and arrangement of the effects. Bioassays of seed germination and radicle and hypocotyl elongation were developed under controlled conditions. Hydro-alcoholic extracts at 1.0% of the leaf, root and seed fractions of four species of Poaceae were tested. Differences in intensity of the effects for species and fractions were verified. The activity pattern observed for Paspalum maritimum was the presence of more intense inhibitions. Among Brachiaria species, the most intense inhibitions were produced by B. brizantha. There was an intense effective response for specificity between species and fractions for germination and radicle elongation, especially for Mimosa pudica. Abstract:The current Amazon landscape consists of heterogeneous mosaics formed by interactions between the original forest and productive activities. Recognizing and quantifying the characteristics of these landscapes is essential for understanding agricultural production chains, assessing the impact of policies, and in planning future actions. Our main objective was to construct the regionalization of agricultural production for Rondônia State (Brazilian Amazon) at the municipal level. We adopted a decision tree approach, using land use maps derived from remote sensing data (PRODES and TerraClass) combined with socioeconomic data. The decision trees allowed us to allocate municipalities to one of five agricultural production systems: (i) coexistence of livestock production and intensive agriculture; (ii) semi-intensive beef and milk production; (iii) semi-intensive beef production; (iv) intensive beef and milk production, and; (v) intensive beef production. These production systems are, respectively, linked to mechanized agriculture (i), traditional cattle farming with low management, with (ii) or without (iii) a significant presence of dairy farming, and to more intensive livestock farming with (iv) or without (v) a significant presence of dairy farming. The municipalities and associated production systems were then characterized using a wide variety of quantitative metrics grouped into four dimensions: (i) agricultural production; (ii) economics; (iii) territorial configuration, and; (iv) social characteristics. We found that production systems linked to mechanized agriculture predominate in the south of the state, while intensive farming is mainly found in the center of the state. Semi-intensive livestock farming is mainly located close to the southwest frontier and in the north of the state, where human occupation of the territory is not fully consolidated. This distributional pattern reflects the origins of the agricultural production system of Rondônia. Moreover, the characterization of the production systems provides insights into the pattern of occupation of the Amazon and the socioeconomic consequences of continuing agricultural expansion.
