International audienceA one-dimensional steady numerical model is proposed to estimate the performance of earth-to-air heat exchangers, installed at different depth, used for building cooling/heating. Two parameters are considered to evaluate the performance of the system (Reynolds number and the form factor). With appropriate simplifications; Numerical simulation treatment is proposed to predict the temperature fields of the fluids in the pipe and the soil in the proximity of the buried pipe, taking into account meteorological data of south Algeria. Moreover, the agreement with some experimental data available in the literature is very satisfactory
Telemedicine is a particularly useful means to optimize the quality of care by fast medical exchanges that benefit patients whose state of health requires an appropriate and fast response, regardless of their geographic location. In this paper, the authors propose a mobile agent based architecture (DiabMAS) for remote medical monitoring of diabetic patients on an outpatient basis using mobile devices (laptops, PDAs, etc ...) by exploring the new operating Mobile system, Android. DiabMAS is a multi-agent system having as main objective the improvement of the transmission of information between patients and their physicians, especially the management of specific and critical cases.
Emissions of global warming gases continue to rise as the world burns ever more coal, oil and gas for energy. The article, aims to run an investigation nexus between carbon dioxide (CO2) emission per capita and economic growth of energy consumption in over the period 1990-2100. To evaluate the impact of CO2 emission on relative variables, this study verifies that there is positive long-run relationship among CO2 emissions, Electric power consumption and Energy use. This paper also proves bi-directional causality between CO2 emission and electric power consumption (modeling the impact of CO2 emission on output especially in Algeria and because of the vast majority of natural gas is imported from Algeria to Morocco so the authors use the same model for Morocco and compare the results obtained and see what the different causes that influence these results). The policy makers may evaluate exogenous effect to seeking economic growth for global climate warming and to formulate energy policies.
This paper presents a solar air collector heater, which is a backup solution to reduce the energy costs caused with any other heating mode. The idea is to use solar energy for heating air and send it into the house. Solar air heating power technologies is entirely free, renewable and clean energy source, which limits the conventional energy costs increasing. These systems absorb direct sunlight to produce heat energy, and then it heats air which circulates throughout the building. In the autumn and winter, ventilation and heating requirements play an important role in the household budget. Solar air collectors are used to drive out moisture, improve air quality and provide free heating. This device can easily be integrated on roofs of a new building or added to an existing building where it reduces the amount of energy expended to heat the premises as a backup solution; thus, it can be put for drying of the agro-food products.
During the last decades, the intervention using robots in sensitive areas reached appreciable mathematical confidence. Robots are equipped with adequate payload and embed processes using high-performance algorithms oriented topology, statistical observations, ontology, or bio-inspired. These algorithms improve considerably the processing capacity in time savings and computational efficiency. The modified GREEDY approach adopted in this contribution aims to optimize the gain in time and cost of processing for task allocation among a cluster of micro-robots with adequate means for the purpose of identifying sensitive areas.Evaluation of the efficiency of the task’s planning process to order each agent micro-robot, we optimally evaluate the cost function by grouping the dependencies; radio connectivity, energy at disposal, and the absolute and relative availability of the agent for itself and within the group. One of the first concerns is to validate the positive trend of the growing number of agents forming the cluster. For this objective, our approach introduces a cluster of three micro-robots. The proposed idea is qualified as an adaptive approach for a mission to identify victims at risk in a challenging environment. Each micro-robot in the cluster is configured to maintain interoperability and collaboration that gain support to evolve in the target scene in order to perform the assigned task. Collaboration algorithms are implemented as an adaptive strategy where it is necessary to optimize agents' mobility according to criteria depending on the characteristic of the place to be identified.
<p>Extracting accurate information from huge Transportation Database need to build efficiency Intelligent Transportation Systems ITS-Dashboard that should allow making correct decisions. The quality of decision and the achievement of performance depend on the quality of the information supplied. This information must be reliable, complete, pertinent and more to care about external attacks. Distributed Mobile Agent consists of autonomy of entities with capacities of perception, cooperation and action on their own environment. One of Agent function is the security of Authentication process by activation of notification system on Mobile Device. The main purpose of this paper is to make it consisting of an Agent Based Framework. The strategy is to exploit Mobile Agent capabilities in a Strict Notification Process when user validates his authentication request.</p>
Industrial systems require reliable components. The interactions among components affect the system reliability. In this study, the electrical power system Robustness is evaluated among its sensitivity to potential changes in the intrinsic parameters. Reliability represents a state indicator. In this work, highlights are made on the importance of Maintenance in Sustaining the QoS of a System. Service, Usage, and Consumers are the three components that can seriously harm the System Reliability and especially in a southern regions conditions where temperatures can simply, reach high values. First, a model is proposed after which a series of tests follow for validation. System's Maintenance is a major factor that affects its Longevity within an acceptable Robustness. Therefore maintenance can be fatal to system operation. Maintenance means expected services with respect to recommended Usage and responding to Consumption Demand. For a given period t in time, the EN represents the indicator of the Electrical System Reliability.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
