The COVID-19 pandemic has eliminated all activities that have the potential to gather mass in Indonesia, including educational activities at all levels. As a result, almost all formal education institutions organize online learning. By implementing online learning strategies, digital literacy skills are absolutely necessary for students. This is because it is impossible to implement online learning without the support of high digital literacy. This study aims to describe the digital literacy of pre-service elementary teacher in virtual classroom-based learning. The method used is a qualitative descriptive study with a sample of 68 PGSD students. The results showed that most students have basic skills on the internet, they are able to find and retrieve information from the internet, and use it effectively.
AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan menghasilkan bahan ajar matematika berbasis scientific untuk siswa SMP yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan efektif yang berorientasi pada kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development, R&D) menurut Borg & Gall yang terdiri atas tiga langkah utama yaitu studi pendahuluan, desain produk serta pengembangan dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMPN 1 Palasah dengan Instrumen berupa instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir kritis, lembar validasi para ahli, lembar penilaian kepraktisan dan angket respon siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar matematika berbasis scientific yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis dan efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. Uji perbedaan keefektifan ini menggunakan uji multivariat Hotteling’s Trace dan uji perbandingan keefektifan menggunakan uji statistik univariat between group yang menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar berbasis scientific yang digunakan kelas uji coba lebih efektif dibandingkan bahan ajar buku paket biasa yang digunakan pada kelas kontrol. Development of Mathematic Teaching Material Based on Scientific Oriented to the Mathematical Critical Thinking Ability of StudentAbstractThis study aims to produce scientific-based mathematics worksheets for junior high school students that meet the criteria of valid, practical, and effective oriented mathematical critical thinking skills. This is a research and development (R & D) according to Borg & Gall which consists of three main steps, namely preliminary study, product design and development and evaluation. The subjects of this study were the eighth grade students of SMPN 1 Palasah with instruments in the form of critical thinking ability tests, expert validation sheets, practicality assessment sheets and student response questionnaires. The effectiveness of teaching materials is shown based on the percentage of the number of students who are at least in the good category at 95.8% and this effectivesness test uses multivariate Hotteling’s Trace test adn comparison of effectiveness test using univariate statistical test between groups and the result show that the teaching materials of scientific-based worksheets are more effective than teaching materials for general textbooks.
Learning theory sees conceptual knowledge as a source of students’ procedural knowledge in learning mathematics. This is supported by several previous studies which show that students learn conceptual understanding before procedural knowledge. So the researcher highlights the relationship that might occur between conceptual and procedural knowledge. Whether conceptual knowledge might have a greater influence on procedural knowledge than vice versa. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. The results showed that students who succeeded in fraction learning were able to combine conceptual and procedural knowledge well. It can be concluded that students with conceptual and procedural knowledge can develop good knowledge in learning mathematics.
Kemampuan literasi statistika merupakan salah satu aspek pentingpembelajaran matematika yang perlu di kuasai oleh mahasiswa.Beberapa hasil studi menggambarkan kemampuan literasi satistikamasih belum memuaskan. Alternatif yang dapat meningkatkankemampuan literasi statsitika adalah penggunaan pembelajaranberbasis masalah. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk menganalisisperbadaan kemampuan literasi statistika dan implikasi terhadap prosespembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Pre-Eksperimentdengan tipe One-shot Case Study. Populasi penelitian ini adalahseluruh mahasiswa administrasi publik di Universitas Majalengka,dengan sampel sebanyak 60 orang. Penelitian ini menghasilkan adanyaperbedaan signifikan kemampuan lietarasi statistika. Implikasiterhadap proses pembelajaran berbasis masalah, penting untukmempersiapkan materi ajar yang berdasarkan kebutuhan siswa tidakhanya sebatas bagaimana membuat aktivitas siswa mengkontruksipengetahuannya.
