Multiculturalism means cultural diversity or cultural heterogeneity. It is undeniable that students who enter tertiary institutions come from different regions with different ethnicities, different cultural cultures which can be one of the problems that interfere in the learning process. The naming of different people as mentioned by Allah in the Qur'an seems to be a commandment that must be completed by humans themselves using scientific knowledge. Multicultural Education is habituation or cultural education that provides opportunities for all students regardless of gender, social class, ethnicity, race, ethnicity, religion, and culture. In the Qur'an, several verses explain multiculturalism, including in the QS. Al-Hujurat: 13, Q.S. Ar-Rum: 22. The goals of multicultural education are basically in harmony with character education which leads to one goal, namely good behavior or moral values as the main goal of the Islamic religion is revealed on earth. As a reference in implementing multicultural education, a learning management concept is needed based on the components or important elements that exist in a system to process the achievement of expected goals, namely 1) Strengthening similarities rather than differences, 2) Mutual trust and mutual understanding, 3) Tolerance of differences, 4) Discussion is not imposing opinion.Keywords: Management, Learning, Component, Eduacation, multicultural.AbstrakMultikultural bermakna keragaman kultur atau heterogenitas kebudayaan. Penamaan manusia yang berbeda-beda sebagaimana yang disebutkan Allah dalam Al-Qur’an seolah menjadi sebuah perintah yang harus diselesaikan oleh manusia itu sendiri dengan cara berilmu pengetahuan. Pendidikan Multikutural adalah pendidikan pembiasaan atau pembudayaan yang memberikan kesempatan pada semua mahasiswanya tanpa memandang jenis kelamin, kelas sosial, ras, suku, agama, dan budayanya. Dalam Al-Qur’an terdapat beberapa ayat yang menjelaskan tentang multikultural, antara lain terdapat dalam Q.S. Al-Hujurat: 13, Q.S. Ar-Rum: 22. Tujuan pendidikan multikultural ini pada dasarnya selaras pendidikan karakter yang bermuara pada satu tujuan yaitu pada perilaku yang baik atau akhlak karimah sebagaimana pokok tujuan agama Islam diturunkan dimuka bumi ini. Sebagai acuan dalam menerapkan pendidikan multikultural tersebut diperlukan sebuah konsep pengelolaan pembelajaran berdasarkan pada komponen-komponen atau unsur-unsur penting yang ada pada suatu sistem untuk memproses pencapaian tujuan yang diharapkan, yaitu 1) Memperkuat persamaan daripada perbedaan, 2) Saling percaya dan saling pengertian, 3) Toleransi terhadap perbedaan, 4) Berdiskusi bukan memaksakan pendapat.Kata Kunci: Pengelolaan, Pembelajaran, Komponen, Pendidikan, Multikultural
Education system constitutes an important stage in growing, developing, and strengthening the character of younger generation. This means that the objectives of education at the institutional level (school) can be a representation of the goals of national education that covers character education. The study aimed to describe the implementation of the curriculum of local Islamic content through curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular programs at SMP (Sekolah Menengah Pertama/junior high school) Al-Amanah Cileunyi to shape the character of students in accordance with Islamic morals. This study applied a naturalistic qualitative approach. The approach is used due to the problems that are currently occurring naturally at the present time, namely student character education at SMP Al-Amanah Cileunyi. The research finding showed that SMP Al-Amanah Cileunyi has a local Islamic content curriculum, both as a subject matter and an extra-curricular activity, Islamic local content that applies at SMP Al-Amanah Cileunyi featuring character values that are originated from the Islamic teachings, and eighteen national character values as determined by the government, and the implementation of Islamic local content is through the activities of self-development, habituation, extra-curricular, exemplary, and the integration of character education within learning process. However, there are some problems encountered in its implementation, among others due to inconsistent attitudes of school community and the gap between character education programs and their implementation. The result of character education through the implementation of Islamic local content is shown by the qualitative scores in the report book, and the increasing trust of parents and the community to SMP Al-Amanah Cileunyi.
The reality of life illustrates the low level of human concern on environment. In fact, it undeniably promotes environmental damage nationally and globally. Therefore, the ecosystem damage in various places and regions has become a serious threat to the survival of the life of the universe. Humans are closely related to nature and they have a great responsibility to protect the universe. In regard to this issue. This article provides an overview of the ideal human strategy, namely Insan Kamil, as a means of increasing awareness of our status as ‘Abdun and our role as caliph in instilling awareness of environmental love through Green Education. This study employed a qualitative approach in the form of literature study in collecting data. The result found that Insan Kamil is considered as a human who is trying to realize his status as a servant of Allah and his role as khalifatullah who has a Divine vision to worship Allah and they also have mission in maintaining natural order and prosperity of the environment. Through the approach of spiritual education, its strategy must be applied within family, school, and community. Thus, it is clear that the strategy of this Insan Kamil is not only in the scope of formal education, but non-formal and in-formal education must also have the same objective integration in order to foster awareness of environmental love through Green Education. This study aims to provide a general description of the implementation of multicultural education during the New Habit Adaptation. This as an impact on Coronavirus Diseases 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic and the implementation of social distancing and physical distancing policies to minimize the spread of the outbreak. The method in this study is used a qualitative method with a research design is library research. Meanwhile, the research instruments used in this research are documentation and observation. Based on the results of the research, it shows the implementation of multicultural education in New Habit Adaptation, is to insert the values of multicultural education in the core competencies of learning both online, through applications such as WhatsApp groups, zoom, and google classrooms, and through offline such as by using student handbooks, Student Worksheets, and others. The forms of program activities that can be carried out in implementing multicultural education include a) (content-oriented programs, b) student-oriented programs, and c) socially-oriented programs.
Konsep multikulturalisme dan pluralisme ini memang sudah wajar diterapak di dunia pendidikan Indonesia, yaitu komitnen yang kokoh dari peserta didik sebagai pemeluk agama ke agama masing-masing. Seorang multikulturalisme dan pluralisme dalam berinteraksi dengan beraneka ragam agama, suku, budaya dan bahasa tentunya tidak saja dituntut untuk membuka diri, belajar dan menghormati sesamanya. Tapi yang paling penting adalah semua pihak harus comitted terhadap agama yang dianutnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kajian riset pluralisme dan multikulturalisme. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa merupakan tanggung jawab bersama untuk membudayakan sikap keterbukaan, menerima perbedaan, dan menghormati kemajemukan agama, dibarengi loyalitas dan komitmen terhadap agama masing-masing, melalui proses pembelajaran dan internalisasi nilai-nilai agama di lingkungan lembaga pendidikan dengan cara memperbaiki materi pembelajaran dan relevansinya bagi peserta didik, menguasai strategi pembelajarannnya, dan bahan bacaan materi yang dapat mendukung perkembangan semua peserta didik.
Government policies in the field of education during the Covid 19 pandemic, including laying off face to face hours were replaced by online learning processes demanding an educator to be more professional in his work. This important to discuss in order to ensure that an educator is more professional in carrying out their duties and still shows a positive character. The purpose of this study was to determine the professional competence and characteristics of PAI teachers during the pandemic. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. In practice, a simple analysis is obtained for quantitative data. Participant involved as many 10 elementary level teachers in Tasikmalaya Regency. The results showed that the character competency indicator was still low so that it affected the profession teachers. The recommendations of the results of this study are that character and professional teachers are agents of change in facing life's challenges in the future.
