Article InfoUtilization of crude palm oils (CPO) as biodiesel faces difficulty due to their high level of viscosity. Mixing crude eucalyptus oils (CEO) with CPO may reduce the viscosity due to the presence of aromatic compounds in CEO. The single droplet analysis was performed to determine the characteristics of mixing CPO with the CEO. The results showed that the addition of CEO decreased the viscosity due to the presence of intermolecular attractions, thereby leading to more active molecules in the CPO-CEO mixture. Furthermore, the aromatic compound in the CEO helped in decreasing the CPO flash point, while the aromatic compound in the triglyceride molecule weakens the bonds between molecules. The addition of CEO to CPO tends to reduce the ignition delay due to the presence of cineol content in the CEO, which weakens the van der Waals bond in CPO. AbstrakMinyak sawit (CPO) sebagai bahan bakar biodiesel memiliki viskositas yang tinggi, sehingga perlu penanganan untuk mengurangi viskositasnya. Perpaduan minyak kayu putih (CEO) dengan minyak sawit dapat menurunkan nilai viskositas minyak sawit karena adanya senyawa aromatik di dalam minyak kayu putih. Analisa tetesan (single droplet analysis) telah dilakukan untuk menentukan karakteristik campuran dari minyak sawit dengan minyak kayu putih. Penambahan minyak kayu putih menghasilkan penurunan viskositas karena interaksi antar molekul yang saling tarik-menarik. Interaksi ini menghasilkan pergerakan molekul yang lebih aktif pada campuran minyak sawit -minyak kayu putih. Penambahan minyak kayu putih menurunkan titik nyala bahan bakar. Senyawa aromatik dalam minyak kayu putih menjadi faktor utama yang membantu mengurangi nilai titik nyala pada minyak sawit; senyawa aromatik dalam molekul trigliserida menyebabkan ikatan antar molekul menjadi lemah. Penambahan minyak kayu putih pada minyak sawit menghasilkan pengurangan waktu tunda pengapian karena adanya senyawa Cineol pada minyak kayu putih yang melemahkan ikatan van der Waals dalam minyak sawit. The COVID-19 pandemic has created turbulence in the healthcare industry, resulting in a decline in financial performance, planning, control, and systems. This has caused managers to perform specific actions related to budgeting for their benefit, resulting in budgetary slack and affecting hospital performance, which is influenced by environmental factors and organizational conditions. Therefore, this research aimed to obtain empirical evidence of the mediating role of management control systems and budgetary slack on the effect of environmental uncertainty on hospital performance. The method used was an explanatory causality approach, a primary data source, a survey data collection technique, and a research sample consisting of hospital managers. The simple random sampling technique was employed, using an individual unit of analysis, a cross-sectional time horizon, and path analysis to evaluate the data. Subsequently, the results showed that environmental uncertainty positively affects management system control and budgetary slack. The research also revealed the positive influence of management system control on budgetary slack and hospital performance and fiscal margin on hospital performance. Furthermore, the control process and budgetary slack as mediating actions indicated that budgeting is pessimistic for goal congruence, making hospital performance efficient but ineffective. One of the strong candidates for biodiesel is Crude Coconut Oil (CCO) but its high viscosity cannot be applied directly without treatment. Therefore, nanocarbon is added to reduce the viscosity of CCO. Nanocarbon is a natural material with semiconductor properties, a good heat conductor, and can attract other molecules. By adding nanocarbon, it is expected to reduce the viscosity of CCO. This study aimed to determine the combustion characteristics of droplets on CCO by adding nanocarbon by 1% and 5%. The method used was a true experiment with droplets, which dripped on the thermocouple with activation energy from the heater. The results showed that CCO burned 0.933s with a droplet diameter of 4.307mm, droplet diameter of 5.472 mm. By adding 5% nanocarbon to CCO, the CCO burned faster, more reactive, and the ignition was shorter than the pure CCO and 1% CCO.
PT. XYZ is a manufacturing company engaged in plastic products. In the production process, problems occur in the cutting machine. Cutting machines often experience acceleration in the setup process. The purpose of the study was to determine the value of the productivity index and evaluate the value to increase the productivity of the company. This study uses the American Productivity Center method and the productivity Evaluation Tree. The results showed that the productivity index value of the American Productivity Center showed an increase and decrease in the value of the productivity index. The increase in the total value of productivity inputs occurred in March 2020 by 190%. Meanwhile, the productivity value decreased in December 2020 by 181%. The Productivity Evaluation Tree method results experienced a change in the total production value in 2019 of 1.75 and the total production value in 2020 of 1.51.
During the pandemic, the Indonesian authorities are committed to limiting the social and economic mobility of the community. One of the activities carried out is online purchases. With changes in people's behavior towards meeting online needs, small and medium-sized enterprises will be able to use information technology in making online marketing of products sold to consumers. The object of this research is batik small and medium-sized enterprises in Indonesia. At this time, many batik small and medium-sized enterprises have used online marketing, but it has not been said to be optimal. It can be shown that there are still many batik small and medium-sized enterprises that have experienced a fifthly percent decline in sales during the pandemic. Therefore, batik small and medium-sized enterprises must be able to increase sales capacity through online marketing to increase profitability. The purpose of the study is to identify both internal and external factors in order to instigate a better strategy to improve the firm’s market. This research uses qualitative and quantitative methods. The method used is to integrate the Strength Weakness Opportunities Threats and Analytic Hierarchy Process methods to increase profitability. These results are in the context of the Strengths Opportunity strategy, which includes analyzing the potential of digital marketing and developing innovative business models, that batik small and medium-sized enterprises must expand the market by maximizing online marketing and increasing quality and creativity in creating product content online. This research found that a prominent strategy for developing the batik business is the strength and opportunity strategy that takes advantage of strengths and opportunities in order to increase competitiveness.
The government has a goal to improve the economy of SMEs. The improvement of the SME economy is carried out by accelerating the National digital transformation. At this time, SMEs have become members of the National digital program. SMEs must have the ability to run their business digitally through collaboration. Meanwhile, SMEs still have obstacles in implementing the collaboration system. The obstacle is that it is less effective and efficient to use digital business collaboration systems. Collaboration systems are less effective in the steps and time of use in business collaboration systems. SMEs want an easy and fast collaboration system. SMEs hope to have a collaboration system that can respond to consumer needs. Thus, the design of the collaboration system must meet the needs of SMEs to improve their performance. This research aims to design a collaborative system for SMEs innovation businesses. The collaborative system design is expected to respond to any changes in SMEs activities. By reacting quickly, the productivity of SMEs will increase because an effective collaboration system supports it. This study uses the method of Service Quality and Quality Function Deployment (QFD). Based on the technical response, project description (0.24), project status (0.17), collaboration team (0.16), project activities (0.15), project needs (0.13), special issues (0.07) and project performance (0.06) were selected as the proposed improvement and development by the priority of contribution in the QFD analysis.
