Abstract:The current paper analyses the application of Multiple Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) and Building Information Modelling (BIM) techniques for integrated information management when assessing redevelopment solutions of former industrial buildings with emphasis on sustainable development. The theoretical approach of complex decisionmaking model for asset redevelopment is proposed and practical case study of old equipment factory redevelopment is presented. Sixteen criteria combined in three groups as economic, environmental and technological indicators are analysed both with ranking of possible redevelopment alternatives of the building using Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment method with grey attributes scores (WASPAS-G). Uncertainty of information and risk level are the largest in the beginning of construction project, while their influence decline to an acceptable level in the elaboration of the information in the course of the project, i.e. adjusting the data over the entire building lifecycle. A balance (symmetry) between socio-cultural and socio-economic benefits as a part of the economic, social, and cultural development policy of each city and country should be assured when converting built heritage. To anticipate building conversion priorities and opportunities, modern technologies can be employed. However, currently the activity of reconstruction of heritage buildings is part of the construction domain wherein modern digital technologies have been the least ever applied. Therefore, photogrammetry and the 3D modeling of existing heritage buildings was suggested. A case study of Sapieha Palace, built in the Baroque style in 1689–1691 in Vilnius, Lithuania was explored in this research. The applied technologies and software (Agisoft Photoscan, Autodesk ReCap and Autodesk Revit) allowed for the creation of a high quality and accurate model involving both the textured exterior of the building and the interior layout. In addition, the valuable features of a building were identified and marked in a three-dimensional digital model. Based on the model, the authors formulated possible conversion alternatives of the building and identified the associated decision-making criteria, as well as determined their relative significance by an expert survey method. The authors suggested the application of the multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) method under uncertainty, namely the rough weighted aggregated sum product assessment (WASPAS), for ranking alternatives according to multiple criteria. Therefore, the suggested integration of modern digital technologies and decision-making models helps to assure the rational conversion decision of built cultural heritage based on high accuracy data as well as contributing to the sustainable development of engineering processes.

The main aim of analysis presented in this paper is based on the complex evaluation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) application and decision support in reconstruction projects. The reconstruction projects face the high level uncertainty during implementation mostly due inappropriate information management, insufficient quality control and low competence of participants. The application of advanced Computer-Aided tools such as BIM uses both with advanced Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) can be the way to solve the problems of reconstruction projects. The fourteen reconstruction projects have been analysed and the list of thirteen main problems has been identi­fied. The pair wise judgment of problems has been made based on in the expert survey using the Analytic Hierarchy Pro­cess (AHP) method. The occurrence, influence to project and significance of the problems have been calculated and were prioritised according to the importance and consequences. After the complex analysis of problems, it is suggested to use combined list of solutions of the BIM tool application in reconstruction projects to support decision making process.

In recent years, concerns regarding issues such as climate change, greenhouse gas emissions, fossil reserve dependency, and petroleum price fluctuation have led countries to focus on renewable energies. Meanwhile, in developing countries, designing an appropriate biofuel supply chain network regarding environmental competencies is an important problem. This paper presents a new bi-objective mixed integer mathematical model aiming to minimize CO2 emission and total costs in the process of the biofuel supply chain, creating a suitable green supply chain network. In this respect, CO2 emission and biofuel demand are regarded as uncertain data to address the real complex cases. Moreover, the SAUGMECON approach was implemented to construct a single objective model, and the obtained Pareto optimal points were depicted and analyzed. Thereby, a robust possibilistic programming approach was implemented to the proposed model to handle existing imprecise data. Furthermore, the applicability and performance of the proposed model were demonstrated based on an experimental example. In this respect, the obtained results from the proposed robust possibilistic programming model were compared with its crisp form to show the robustness and reliability of the proposed uncertain mathematical model.

Latterly problems of restoration of historic buildings have become especially important. Historical buildings require special attention while preserving their cultural and artistic values, so the three-dimensional digital model of the building can be used preparing their operational or renewal plans. The aim of the presented research is to analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) of preparation the initial data, heritage building 3D model development and parametric object databases creation. The object of the research is the Sapieha Palace built in Baroque style in 1689-1691 in the capital city of Lithuania. Applied research methods and tools -initial data collection by historical drawing analysis, manual measurement, photogrammetry methods, and "As-Built" 3D model creation.The results of the presented case study were analyzed by applying SWOT methodology as well as compared with the similar studies in the scientific literature. The research provides the basis for further construction heritage studies and analysis of possible object conversion issues.

Time, cost, and quality have been known as the project iron triangles and substantial factors in construction projects. Several studies have been conducted on time-cost-quality trade-off problems so far, however, none of them has considered the time value of money. In this paper, a multi-objective mathematical programming model is developed for time-cost-quality trade-off scheduling problems in construction projects considering the time value of money, since the time value of money, which is decreased during a long period of time, is a very important matter. Three objective functions of time, cost, and quality are taken into consideration. The cost objective function includes holding cost and negative cash flows. In this model, the net present value (NPV) of negative cash flow is calculated considering the costs of non-renewable (consumable) and renewable resources in each time period of executing activities, which can be mentioned as the other contribution of this study. Then, three metaheuristic algorithms including multi-objective grey wolf optimizer (MOGWO), non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II), and multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) are applied, and their performance is evaluated using six metrics introduced in the literature. Finally, a bridge construction project is considered as a real case study. The findings show that considering the time value of money can prevent cost overrun in projects. Additionally, the results indicate that the MOGWO algorithm outperforms the NSGA-II and MOPSO algorithms.
