An H-shaped cross slotted aperture-coupled microstrip patch antenna with double-sided notches is presented. By proper choice of the notch dimensions, aperture size and foam material height, a wide band and high gain operation could be realized. The impedance bandwidth (based on a -10 dB return loss) of the designed antenna reaches about 12.5% . The maximum gain o{the antenna is 9.35dBi, and the whole antenna is about 220mm*210mm*30mm.
A dual-band hybrid-ring coupler made-fed by microstrip lines was designed based on the cyclic characteristic of hybrid-race conventional form. Using compact folded and coupled transmission lines, the model was miniaturized and the bandwidth was significantly broaden. The design idea is hoped to be applied for dual-band. Then measurement result was presented. It can be kept a perfect consistency with the simulation result.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
