The pandemic caused by COVID-19 has enormous effects on peoples’ lives and on the global economy. The outbreak and effects of COVID-19 have resulted in fears, concerns, and anxiety among people all around the world. The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between the fear of COVID-19, travel anxiety, and travel intention among residents in Serbia. In addition to the above, the aim of the study was to examine the impact of personality traits on the fear of COVID-19, travel anxiety, and travel intentions. To enhance the understanding of the relationship between the mentioned variables, this study proposes a research model based on the use of measurement scales from the existing studies to develop the questionnaire. The standard paper-and-pen survey was used for data collection from the respondents from Serbia. The total sample include 987 respondents. It was determined that Travel intention was negatively influenced by Neuroticism and Conscientiousness, but positively by Extroversion and Openness. The supposed Agreeableness did not have a significant effect on Travel intention. This study contributes to understanding the respondents’ behavior during pandemic of COVID-19, and their responses to the crisis according to their personality traits might have practical implications in the travel sector.

Regarding the previous literature on the decision-making process when choosing a destination, this article tries to contribute to current literature by surveying inhabitants from the Bačka region (Vojvodina/Serbia) with respect to the aspect of place of residence on the purchase decision-making process which involves five different phases: need awareness, search for information, estimation of alternatives, decision about purchasing a tourist product or service, feedback after purchasing and discrimination coefficient. The results show that place of residence strongly affects all phases of the decision-making process. The researchers also managed to address the most sensible and vulnerable indicator of the decision-making process when choosing a destination.

Practice has shown that prices, an important economic factor, have a signifi cant effect on the choice of tourist destination, i.e. they have a direct impact on the tourism demand and add to its elasticity. More often than not, the connection between the "prices in the hospitality industry and tourism demand dynamics" is not a simple one. Many various factors besides prices in the hospitality industry infl uence the decision on a tourism trip, rendering this connection very complex. The effect of prices on domestic tourism demand is particularly evident in developing countries with low avarage salaries. To be better able to objectively perceive the effect of price growth in the hospitality industry, in addition to the basic parameters (prices in hospitality services, domestic arrivals and overnight stays of domestic tourists), we also analysed the cost of life, average salaries and changes in the euro exhange rate. All the parameters are for Serbia and they cover a period of fi fteen years, 2002-2016. The principal method used in the research is the statistical method of linear correlation analysis, where the linear correlation coeffi cient was taken as an indicator.

The establishment of national parks is motivated by the preservation of natural values and resources or, more precisely, landscape and biodiversity, as well as satisfying scientific, educational, health and recreational, tourism, cultural and other needs. They have two often conflicting purposes: to protect important natural and cultural resources and to offer the possibility to use these areas as well as to enjoy them. People love to travel to protected natural areas just because on a relatively small but representative territory they can see a large number of plant and animal species, as well as participate in recreational activities in a pristine environment. The purpose of this study was to identify the motives and constraints for visiting national parks in relation to age, education level and employment status. The research was conducted among the London residents who are potential visitors of national parks in England. A total of 107 respondents were questioned through an online survey. The results obtained in this study showed that there are differences in motives and constraints in relation to sociodemographic characteristics of the respondents. The results of this study could direct the management of national parks to focus more on identifying and meeting the needs of potential visitors because of the increasing popularity of ecotourism.

Nekada je važilo pravilo da će jedan nezadovoljan korisnik preneti svoja negativna iskustva na najmanje 5 ljudi, međutim, zahvaljujući društvenim medijima taj broj se mnogostruko povećao. Radi se o distribuciji informacija "od usta do usta" (WOM-word of mouth), ali ne tradicionalnim putem već kroz korišćenje Web 2.0 aplikacija (Čačić i Mašić, 2013).

This paper deals with the problem of relatively young type of hotel that is increasingly attracting the attention of the modern tourist. Unusual hotels are very interesting phenomenon, not only for tourists and hospitality professionals, but also for people who are (currently) out of the tourist flows. These are facilities with untypical architectural design, non-standard equipped or with services that are not common in the hospitality industry. They often contribute to the attractiveness of the area in which they are located. However, business sustainability of unusual hotels, as well as any other hotel, depends on guests, i.e. number of overnight stays. We present the results of research conducted among tourists in Serbia. The main task is to examined whether tourists are interested in the potential developing of unusual hotels. If so, which subtypes of unusual hotel would be best suited for the territory of Serbia. In order to compare experiences and operating results, parallel survey was conducted among owners of unusual hotels around the world. The results suggest a conclusion-with a favourable investment climate, unusual hotels should have a future in Serbia.
