Gamification can help training people with Alzheimer and their caregivers. In this paper are shown the benefits of gamification for this group of people and the technical and social feasibility of launching a game on the market. A Use Case in the north of Spain has been selected.A deep study about the state of the art in gamification and dementia aimed at training caregivers and families has been made but no available game have been reached out. For early states of analysing the technical and social feasibility of launching the serious game a group of highly skill both technicians and psychologists have been selected. To develop and launch products that fit Alzheimer patients and their family’s needs the learning by doing methodology has been selected - a mix of learning in everyday practices, learning from other people involved, learning from experience and learning from the affected person. In addition the following agents are involved: People with dementia, families, and professionals carers and expert people.
Abstract-There exists a growing trend in using NLIs (Natural Language Interfaces) that ranges from research to commercial products. Conversational agents beneath these interfaces have become more sophisticated, being able to either perform a task in behalf of the user or give a precise response to a question as Question Answering systems do. When combining Conversational Agents with QA capabilities the maintenance cost exponentially increases. In this paper we propose a hybrid architecture for a Question Answering system that features social dialog. We claim that including social dialog in QA systems increases users satisfaction and makes them easily engage with the system. Finally, we present an evaluation that supports these hypotheses.
Abstract. Everybody has to coordinate several tasks everyday, usually in a manual manner. Recently, the concept of Task Automation Services has been introduced to automate and personalize the task coordination problem. Several user centered platforms and applications have arisen in the last years, that let their users configure their very own automations based on third party services. In this paper, we propose a new system architecture for Task Automation Services in a heterogeneous mobile, smart devices, and cloud services environment. Our architecture is based on the novel idea to employ distributed Complex Event Processing to implement innovative mixed execution profiles. The major advantage of the approach is its ability to incorporate context-awareness and real-time coordination in Task Automation Services.
