Klíčová slova: vzdělávání, univerzita, zpětná vazba, motivace studentů STARTING POINTS FOR CHANGING THE WAY HOW BASIC MANAGEMENET COURSE IS TOUGHT AT THE UNIVERSITY AbstractThis article concerns a specific experience with realising student feedback at the university. The research is embedded in a narrow context and identifies interesting aspects of student's attitudes. The research was conducted through a questionnaire survey for three consecutive periods (semesters) and focuses on several areas. The authors explore the students' motivation to study and their incentives to attain good grades. It also discovers the manner and duration of the students' preparation for their final test and last, but not least, it evaluates the difficulty of the subject. The questionnaire also contains several open-ended questions that reveal surprising insights. The conclusions are considered with the fact in mind that students did not achieve excellent grades in their final evaluations. The research is particularly beneficial, not only for educators and fellow researchers, but also for developers of study programs and guarantors of subjects at universities.
Humanitarian workers operate in complex environments with various challenges and demanding working conditions. These challenges put aid workers in a range of risks and under the pressure. However, human resources are crucial for success of humanitarian operations in general. At the same time, each humanitarian operation is reliant on logistics and logistics activities are always connected with logistic staff. Understanding what motivates logisticians to join the humanitarian sector is essential information for humanitarian organizations and for recruiters within. Also, knowing which factors influence motivation and job satisfaction of humanitarian logisticians could help the organizations to struggle with the extremely turnover they have to face. Up to this moment, needed skills and the performance of humanitarian logisticians were examined. Also, the motivators of humanitarian workers are covered in previous research. Therefore, the additional aim of this research is to extend the knowledge about the human resources in humanitarian sector as well.
Klíčová slova: rešerše literatury, ředitel, škola, kvalitativní výzkum PRINCIPALS AS MANAGERS OF PRIMARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS: STATE OF THE ART OF QUALITATIVE RESEARCH AbstractThe purpose of this literature review is to bring up the state of the art of qualitative research in this subject. This article is focused on the field of management in primary and secondary schools from the point of view of headteachers as managers of these educational institutions. The results highlight the vital aspects of the discussion. The work is relevant to researchers devoted to school management, and also to directors who would like to find relevant articles on this topic. The main method used to identify relevant articles was a systematic review based on specific keywords. Searches were made in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. The default keywords were: headteacher, school, principal, qualitative, interview, case study, focus group, and mixed methods. The work attempts to capture, in particular, all the important academic papers which consider directors as their main subjects of exploration. The work is focused on qualitative research and includes both foreign and Czech papers.Key words: literature review, headteacher, school, principal, qualitative research ÚvodKvalitativní výzkum umožňuje věnovat se velkému množství témat (vzdělávání, management, zdravotnictví aj.) a zahrnout mnoho vědních disciplín (sociologie, antropologie, psychologie atd.).
