The purpose of the study was to determine the quality of Bokasi fertilizer with a combination of local ingredients, namely gamal leaves, kirinyuh leaves, and lamtoro leaves. The method used is purposive sampling on the combination of local materials (P1 = 5%Gamal + 2.5%Kirinyuh + 2.5%Lamtoro; P2 = 2.5%Gamal + 5%Kirinyuh + 2.5%Lamtoro; P3 = 2.5%Gamal + 2.5%Kirinyuh + 5%Lamtoro; P4= 4%Gamal +3%Kirinyuh + 3%Lamtoro; P5= 3%Gamal + 4%Kirinyuh + 3%Lamtoro; and P6= 3%Gamal + 3%Kirinyuh + 4%Lamtoro). Determination of the quality of bokasi fertilizer based on SNI 19-7003-2004. Parameters tested were pH, electrical conductivity (DHL), C-Organic, N-Total, C/N Ratio, Phosphorus, and Potassium. The test results obtained the value of pH (6.79-6.88), C-Organic (16.04-22.48), N-Total (2.96-3.30), C/N Ratio (5.22- 7.14), Phosphorus (0.63-0.64), Potassium (1.24-1.59), and DHL (3.59-4.26). Based on SNI 19-7003-2004 obtained pH, C-Organic, N, P, K meet the standard, while the C/N ratio does not meet the standard. High DHL indicates the value of fertilizer nutrients available to plants.
Sorghum stem bagasse waste is one of the materials with high cellulose content. It can be utilized in glucose production through enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose by Trichoderma viride. This study aims to determine sorghum stem bagasse’s potential in producing glucose, assessing the time and concentration of sorghum stem bagasse in the hydrolysis process to produce glucose optimally and following SNI. Hydrolysis was carried out using a concentration of 5%, 8%, and 11% sorghum stem bagasse for 10, 15, and 20 days. The results showed that sorghum stem bagasse waste could produce glucose with an average glucose yield of 10.09% to 24.40 %. There is a tendency that increasing substrate concentration and hydrolysis time will increase the yield of liquid glucose. The treatment of 5% concentration of sorghum stem bagasse with a long hydrolysis time of 10 days can produce the highest liquid glucose, namely 24.40% with total dissolved solids of 7.40% Brix, the ash content of 0.26%, but 47.54% water content has not met SNI standards.Â
Penanganan panen dan pasca panen tanaman pangan merupakan upaya yang sangat strategis dalam rangka mendukung ketahanan pangan nasional. Untuk itu, peran serta seluruh pelaku pasca panen tanaman pangan sangat diperlukan dalam pelaksanaan standarisasi proses dan hasil panen dan pasca panen sesuai fungsinya masing-masing. Studi sistem penanganan pasca panen di Kecamatan Lewa bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara rinci sistem pengatahuan masyarakat tanil secara khusus dalam prosuksi tanaman padi. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa petani telah melakukan penanganan pasca panen secara umum walaupun secara sederahana. Akan tetapi belum maksimal pada tahap grading dan standarisasi serta tahap penyimpanan hasil panen.
ABSTRAKMinimnya informasi pemanfaatan bahan lokal sebagai dasar pembuatan pupuk padat di Kelompok Wanita Tani Suka Maju, Kelurahan Malumbi, Kabupaten Sumba Timur merupakan alasan utama yang mendasari kegiatan pengabdian ini. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pembuatan pupuk organik padat dari bahan arang sekam dan kotoran sapi. Oleh karena itu, ketergantungan terhadap penggunaan pupuk anorganik, serta biaya produksi tanaman hortikultura dapat dikurangi. Metode pelatihan yang digunakan yaitu ceramah, diskusi, dan demontrasi, sedangkan metode evaluasi pelaksanaan pelatihan yaitu observasi. Hasil yang diperoleh bahwa petani sangat antusias selama kegiatan berlangsung, dan mampu mempraktikkan pembuatan pupuk organik secara mandiri. Pelatihan ini memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan baru bagi Kelompok Wanita Tani Suka Maju dalam memanfaatkan bahan lokal yang ada dilingkunganya untuk dijadikan pupuk serta mampu meningkatkan produksi tanaman hortikultura yang diusahakan. The purpose of community service is to increase knowledge and skills in making solid organic fertilizer from husk charcoal and cow dung. Therefore, the dependence on the use of inorganic fertilizers, as well as the cost of producing horticultural crops can be reduced. The training methods used are lectures, discussions, and demonstrations, while the evaluation method for the implementation of the training is observation. The results showed that farmers were very enthusiastic during the activity, and they were able to practice making organic fertilizer independently. This training provides new knowledge and skills for the Suka Maju Women Farmers Group in utilizing local materials in their environment to be used as fertilizers and has increased the production of cultivated horticultural crops. Keterbatasan informasi kualitas tanah dan pengelolaannya dalam pengembangan tanaman sorgum di Kelurahan Watumbaka, Kecamatan Pandawai, Kabupaten Sumba Timur. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui kualitas tanah dalam rangka pengembangan tanaman sorgum. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif eksploratif dengan pendekatan survey lapangan dan didukung hasil analisis tanah di laboraotrium. Parameter uji yang digunakan yaitu sifat fisik (permeabilitas dan tekstur), kimia tanah (pH tanah, DHL, C-organik, N-total, P-total, K-dd, Ca, Mg, KTK dan kejenuhan basa). Metode penilaian indikator kualitas tanah dengan metode Lal yang dimodifikasi. Hasil diperoleh tanah dengan kisaran permeabilitas 2,34-26,37 cm3/jam, kelas tekstur lempung dan lempung berpasir, kisaran pH 7,51-8,50, kisaran DHL 0,08-0,16 mS, kisaran presentase C-organik 1,59-2,36%, kisaran nilai N-Total 0,23-0,37%, kisaran kejenuhan basa 85,23-87,56%, kisaran P-Total 139,17-228,19mg/100g, kisaran K 0,85-0,98 me/100g, kisaran Ca 24,60-29,71 me/100g, kisaran Mg 1,42-2,94 me/100g dan nilai kisaran KTK 35,44-40,12 me/100g. Hasil penilain kualitas tanah pada lahan pengembangan tanaman Sorgum di Kelurahan Watumbaka secara total berdasarkan indikator kualitas tanah yaitu baik. Faktor pembatas sedang yaitu permeabilitas, tekstur, N-total, Mg, dan C-Organik sedangkan faktor pembatas berat yaitu permeabilitas dan pH tanah. Rekomendasi perbaikan yang dilakukan melalui pemupukan.
