This study aims to determine: (1) school readiness and response to the 2013 curriculum, (2) the effectiveness of the 2013 curriculum implementation on school development, (3) the supporting and inhibiting factors for the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in physics learning, and (4) Implementation of process standards and curriculum evaluation standards for 2013. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research subjects were Physics Teachers, Mathematics Teachers, and Indonesian Teachers. Research data was collected by conducting in-depth interviews. The results of the study show that: 1) the principal and teacher state the readiness for the implementation of the 2013 curriculum. 2) the application of the 2013 curriculum influences the efforts of schools to develop schools through increasing teacher human resources, providing supporting facilities and infrastructure and learning facilities; 3) supporting factors for the implementation of the 2013 curriculum are the availability of adequate teacher resources, the availability of adequate supporting facilities and infrastructure, the support of parents and the government, and the willingness of students. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors are minimal learning media, limited student books, limited educational staff, readiness and teacher thinking methods that still use old learning patterns; 4) teachers have difficulty implementing scientific approach based learning due to lack of student enthusiasm, minimal learning media, limited laboratory and library facilities and infrastructure, for aspects of assessment teachers experience difficulties with the number of items and forms of assessment.Keywords: 2013 curriculum; School Readiness; School Development
[Title: The National Education Perspective]. This paper aims to describe the fulfillment of quality educator resources, the concept of national education quality, and the role of education in shaping the character of the nation. This study uses a library research approach (Library Research) with steps (1) choosing research topics, (2) searching for supporting information, (3) determining the focus of research, (4) classifying supporting materials, (5) reading and making research notes , (6) review and enrich reading material, and (7) carry out source analysis. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis by concentrating on solutions or solving problems raised. The results of this study indicate (1) the fulfillment of professional educator resources is filled with conventional methods, namely through the awarding of the teaching profession through certification programs, while in innovative ways carried out through training activities, increasing teacher capacity through the provision of scholarship programs, and the introduction of teacher prefectures (2) the concept of national education quality is fulfilled with the implementation and achievement of eight national education standards; (3) education has the role of forming noble characters and personalities through attitude formation, by making affective domains as protectors for the skills and cognitive domains.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur tingkat kemampuan berpikir siswa SMA di Kabupaten Sumba Barat Daya pada mata pelajaran fisika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 220 siswa dari 6 sekolah yang berbeda. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode tes melalui pemberian soal pilihan ganda beralasan. Teknik penilaian yang digunakan adalah teknik penilaian polytomous empat kategori dengan mengikuti model kredit parsial (PCM). Instrumen soal yang digunakan adalah instrumen kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kemampuan berpikir berada pada kategori kurang dari empat kategori yang ditetapkan yaitu sangat baik, baik, cukup, dan kurang.
[Title: Perception Of Teachers And Students On The Physical Learning Process Based On Curriculum 2013] This study aims to determine: (1) the perception of physics teachers to apply a scientific approach, (2) the perceptions of students on the physics learning process carried out by teachers, (3) the relationship between students' perceptions and the ability of teachers to carry out physics-based learning scientific approach. This research is a survey research using a descriptive correlational approach. The research sample included 18 physics teachers and 494 students spread across 10 Public High Schools in Yogyakarta City which were taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data collection uses questionnaires from teachers and students and observation sheets. The analysis technique uses descriptive analysis and Spearman correlation analysis. Research Results (1) The teacher has a very positive perception of the implementation of a scientific approach in scientific learning; (2) Students give a positive response to the process of physics learning carried out by the teacher; (3) There is a positive and significant relationship between the perceptions of students and the ability of teachers to carry out physics learning based on the scientific approach.
Kegiatan pengabdian ini memiliki tiga tujuan, yaitu, 1) agar mahasiswa memahami konsep penelitian deskriptif dan inferensial, 2) agar mahasiswa mampu mengolah data deskripif dengan memanfaatkan Microsoft excel, 3) agar mahasiswa mampu mengolah data inferensial dengan menggunakan aplikasi SPSS. Subyek pelatihan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah mahasiswa semester 7 yang berjumlah 60orang. Subyek pengabdian tersebut tersebar pada empat program studi yang ada di STKIP Weetebula, meliputi Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika, Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika, Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Indonesia, dan Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar. Untuk meningkatkan efektifitas pelatihan, subyek pengabdian di bagi menjadi dua kelompok. Masing-masing kelompok mengikuti 3 kali kegiatan pelatihan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan adalah ceramah, tanya jawab dan unjuk kerja. Materi yang dibahas meliputi, pada pertemuan pertama membahas materi konsep penelitian deskriptif dan penelitian inferensial. Materi pelatihan yang diberikan pada pertemuan kedua adalah pengolahan data deskritif dengan Microsoft excel. Sementara itu, materi pertemuan ketiga adalah pengolahan data dengan program SPSS. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Mahasiswa semakin memahami konsep penelitian deskriptif dan inferensial. 2) Mahasiswa memahami teknik analisis data deskripif dan mampu mengolah data deskriptif dengan memanfaatkan Microsoft excel. 3) Mahasiswa semakin memahami teknik analisis data inferensial dan mampu mengolah data inferensial dengan memanfaatkan aplikasi SPSS. Hasil lain yang diperoleh adalah subyek pengabdian menunjukkan sikap antusiasme dan partisipatif selama kegiatan pelatihan.
