This study aimed to determine the application of Lean Canvas to the development of Culinary and Gift & Souvenir SMEs in Likupang as a super priority tourism destination in North MinahasaRegency. A startup is an organization designed to find new business models to earn big profits. According to forbes.com, there are 90 % startups failed in their business due to many reasons such as failure in predicting market needs, internal conflicts, running out of funds, team disharmony and poor corporate patterns. A startup is an organization designed to create a product or service under uncertain conditions. Successful startups do not come from successful predecessors but can be learned and can be taught. The purpose of this study was to design a lean canvas business model that is suitable for SMEs in North Minahasa Regency then determine the Canvas Business model map for Culinary SMEs and Souvenir SMEs after that explain the use of the Canvas Business Model for Culinary SMEs and Souvenir SMEs. Culinary SMEs and Souvenir SMEs as one of the pioneers in the food and beverages as well as souvenirs and giveaways offer convenience and provide marketing that has been provided by using Lean Canvas in determining ideas and documentation in stepping and deciding the target market so that it will make SMEs and also customers from these SMEs will get a lot of convenience and save more costs. The application of business models such as Business Model Canvas and Lean Canvas in startups Culinary SMEs and Souvenir SMEs aims to represent the operation of company and it can illustrate the relationship from technology developers that can generate economic value. Lean Canvas is more problem-focused and as a tool for simplifying and documenting business models and measuring progress in the business.
Evaluation of lecturer performance, which is done by students, is one of the ways used by Manado State Polytechnic to measure customer satisfaction on lecturer performance in conducting teaching and learning process. Evaluation of lecturer performance through Student Evaluation approach has been started since Year 2009, but to know the achievement of appraisal of lecturer performance, it is necessary to conduct research. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Student Evaluation Approach for lecturer performance evaluation at Manado State Polytechnic and optimizing the evaluation approach by developing an application based online. The method used for data collection is the qualitative method with Semi-Structured Interview where the data is collected by interviewing all parties involved in the implementation of lecturer's performance evaluation. After data is collected, grouped and coded, the data is analyzed and interpreted, and then it is coded into application system. The results of this study are expected to be used by every department in Manado State Polytechnic to facilitate and to ease the measurement of lecturer performance every semester.
Higher education institution that always prioritizes the quality and quantity of graduates cannot be separated from the performance of lecturers and qualifications in their fields of expertise. Similarly, the Manado State Polytechnic in particular the Business. Administration department faces these challenges that must pay attention to the quality and quantity of the Three Main Activities of Higher Education in an effort to equip students with a set of knowledge. The knowledge and skills will become the competence of every student who is declared pass and ready to work in their field. The purpose of this study is 1) to identify lecturer performance with student loyalty. 2) To identify student satisfaction with student loyalty. 3) To analyse the effect of lecturer performance and student satisfaction on student loyalty. The research method used in this study is quantitative research methods by distributing questionnaire to students (150 students at Business Administration) regarding three variables (lecturer performance, student satisfaction and student loyalty). The results of this study indicate that lecturer performance and student satisfaction have significant impact on student loyalty, meaning that students are loyal when lecturer performance is satisfied them. When students are satisfied, therefore, student loyalty is significantly increased. These findings can be benefit to the head of department on how he can improve the lecturer performance in the future.
