The momentum of decentralization that occurred in 1998 gave hope for the improvement of the quality of education services, especially in border areas. However, although several of policy instruments have been established, some empirical studies precisely showed that hope still difficult to realize. This research aims to analyzing how key determinants of elementary school education policy implementation in border areas are operationalized, with Sekayam and Entikong Districts, Sanggau Regency, West Borneo Province as a specific locus. Qualitative approach with descriptive methods used in this research. Data collection techniques used are in-depth interviews, FGD, direct observation, and documentation, meanwhile data analysis techniques used Miles, Huberman, and Saldana models. This research finds that key determinants of elementary school education policy implementation in border areas which consists of the dimensions: design of the policy, stakeholders, context, the implementation strategy is not fully optimal. This research recommends several things such as: the government needs to increase the accessibility of better education, strengthen collaboration between the central government and local governments, strengthen planning and budgeting, and needed holistic evaluation of the application of E-Takola so that the aid mechanism provided to elementary schools in all border areas can be more effective.
Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi telah menetapkan kebijakan Kampus Merdeka sebagai prioritas kebijakan. Program Praktisi Mengajar merupakan Kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Edisi ke-20 yang diluncurkan karena faktanya saat ini jumlah praktisi yang ikut berkontribusi mengajar di kampus (baik akademik maupun vokasi) masih kurang. Di sisi lain, tingkat partisipasi perguruan tinggi penyelenggara pendidikan vokasi dalam program Praktisi Mengajar masih sangat sedikit, per tanggal 28 Mei hanya 13 pendaftar. Padahal keberadaan pendidik dari unsur praktisi dunia kerja merupakan hal yang esensial dalam pendidikan vokasi yang sangat erat berkaitan dengan dunia kerja. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi perguruan tinggi penyelenggara pendidikan vokasi pada program Praktisi Mengajar. Sementara metode pengabdian masyarakat dilakukan dengan metode sosialisasi. Hasilnya, setelah dilakukan sesi sosialisasi, pendaftar program Praktisi Mengajar dari entitas perguruan tinggi penyelenggara pendidikan vokasi per 6 Juli 2022 meningkat signifikan menjadi 238 pendaftar. Namun, masih terdapat kekurangan, dimana mayoritas kampus vokasi pendaftar program masih didominasi di pulau Jawa dengan persentase 56,1%. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology has set the Merdeka Campus policy as a policy priority. The Teaching Practitioner Program is the 20th Edition of the Free Learning Policy, which was launched because, currently, the number of practitioners who contribute to teaching on campus (both academic and vocational) still needs to be improved. On the other hand, the participation rate of universities providing vocational education in the Teaching Practitioner program still needs to be higher; as of May 28, there were only 13 applicants. The existence of educators from the practitioners of the world of work is essential in vocational education, which is very closely related to the world of work. Therefore, this service activity aims to increase the participation of tertiary institutions providing vocational education in the Teaching Practitioner program. At the same time, the community service method is carried out by the socialization method. As a result, after the socialization session, the registrants for the Teaching Practitioner program from higher education entities providing vocational education as of July 6, 2022, increased significantly to 238 registrants. However, there are still areas for improvement, where most vocational campuses for program applicants are still dominated on the island of Java with a percentage of 56.1%.
Pemberdayaan UMKM (Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah) imbas dari pandemi selama hampir 2 tahun terakhir menjadi fokus dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini. Pandemi telah mengakibatkan kehidupan ekonomi masyarakat, terutama usaha-usaha mikro menurun pendapatannya, bahkan sampai gulung tikar. Hal tersebut terutama disebabkan akses mereka untuk memasarkan hasil produksinya sangat terbatas. Kondisi masyarakat di Kelurahan Pondok Pucung pra pandemi Covid-19 banyak yang mengakses sumber ekonomi dengan berjualan keluar rumah, diantaranya: menjual kerupuk, kacang, dan berbagai macam kuliner lainnya. Keluarga mereka menggantungkan hidup dari usaha kuliner tersebut. Pada masa pandemi, tentu akses mereka untuk keluar berjualan terbatas karena faktor keselamatan untuk tidak tertular virus Covid-19 yang mesti diutamakan. Metode berjualan berubah dengan berjualan dari rumah dengan akses pemasaran yang sangat terbatas. Tentunya hal tersebut membuat pendapatan mereka menurun bahkan sangat minim. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2021 hingga Februari 2022. Metode kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa sosialisasi pemanfaatan modal sosial dalam pemasaran hasil usaha, pembinaan pengemasan produk usaha mereka agar menarik di pasaran dan bisa bersaing dengan produk lainnya yang sejenis, pengenalan dan pendampingan pemasaran melalui media sosial, serta penguatan jejaring sosial yang ada di masyarakat. Hasil pengabdian masyarakat menemukan bahwa setelah dilakukan pendampingan, kapasitas UMKM untuk memanfaatkan modal sosial untuk survive di tengah pandemi mengalami peningkatan. Hal itu ditunjukkan dengan meningkatnya kesadaran untuk memanfaatkan berbagai platform media sosial untuk memperluas skop pemasaran dan mengubah desain kemasan produk menjadi lebih inovatif dan menarik. For nearly two years, the focus of this community service activity has been the empowerment of MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) as a result of the pandemic. The pandemic has caused the community's economic life, particularly micro-enterprises, to suffer, with some even going bankrupt. This is primarily due to their minimal ability to market their products. The pre-Covid-19 pandemic condition of the community in Pondok Pucung Village, many access economic resources by selling outside the home, including crackers, peanuts, and various other culinary delights. Their families rely on the culinary industry for a living. Of course, during the pandemic, their access to selling is limited due to the safety factor of not becoming infected with the Covid-19 virus, which must be prioritized. Selling from home with very limited marketing access has changed the selling method. Of course, this reduces their income to a bare minimum. This community service project will run from December 2021 to February 2022. This community service activity takes the form of socializing the use of social capital in marketing business products, encouraging the packaging of their business products so that they are appealing in the market and can compete with other similar products, and providing introduction and marketing assistance utilizing social media, as well as by strengthening. The findings of community service revealed that after mentoring, the ability of MSMEs to use social capital to survive during a pandemic had improved. This is evidenced by the growing recognition of the significance of utilizing various social media platforms to broaden the scope of marketing and change product packaging designs to be more innovative and appealing.
This study aims to analyze the performance of employees of the Directorate of High Schools of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology after the organizational restructuring. In this study, there is a problem, namely after the restructuring, the performance of employees of the Directorate of High School has not been fully optimal in working. This research uses employee performance theory according to Robbins, namely Quality, Quantity, Punctuality, Effectiveness, Independence and Work Commitment. The method used in this study is descriptive with a qualitative approach. This research was sourced from data from scientific journals, official websites, and supporting documents that describe the performance of employees at the Directorate of High Schools after the restructuring. The results showed that employee performance after restructuring was not optimal because employees were still being adjusted to the changes that occurred and there were still obstacles felt by employees in completing their work. However, the quality of performance provided for educational units (SMA) such as technical guidance and assistance services is good. The responsibility that employees have in completing their duties is good. However, there is still a low level of employee discipline in working hours.
Patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) with poor glycemic control have risk to a developing DM complications one of which is diabetic nephropathy, to establish the diagnosis of diabetic nephropathy, a test of creatinine serum should be conducted, and to see the glycemic control, a test of HbA1c should be conducted. The research aims to characteristics of the examination result creatinine serum in patients with DM terms of the results of HbA1c test, cross-section research design, there are 71 sample qualified the criteria for inclusion research. Sample collection and inspection are held in the Clinical Pathology Laboratory of the Hasanuddin University Hospital Makassar from May until June 2022. The results show for the examination results HbA1c with the most uncontrolled categories as much 63 people (88.7%) and only 8 people in the controlled category (11.3%), for result serum creatinine at most normal 34 people (47.9%) decreased by 25 people (35.2%), and increased by 12 people (16.9%), the research results were processed using the chi-square test to see the corelation between each variable. There is a significant correlation between the results of the examination of creatinine serum based on gender DM patients with a value of p=0.000 (p<0.05). There is no significant correlation between the results of creatinine serum examination with age classification in DM patients with a value of p=0.464 (p>0.05), and there is no significant correlation between the results of the creatinine serum examination in DM patients were reviewed from the results of HbA1c examination with a value of p=0.387 (p>0.05), so it can be concluded that serum creatinine can't be a major biomarker to see the presence of diabetic nephropathy in DM patients, it is necessary to add other biomarkers such as microalbumin examination, protein urine, glomerular filtration rate, and blood urea nitrogen for diabetic nephropathy in diabetic patients.
