The paper describes the problem between freight trains operated by Metrans Danube, a.s. and passenger trains operated by Regiojet, a.s on the line Bratislava-Dunajská Streda-Komárno. It is very important to emphasize this problem because, nowadays, mostly freight trains across the Europe drive in just in time system, it means, that shipments are delivered at exact time and place on time. At this line there are many problems not only this track line is single track, so it is necessary to cross the trains very often in traffic points which maximum 2 traffic tracks but also organizing of transport is more complicated which is provided by Railway infrastructure managerthis case is very important example when railway traffic technology slows down all processes in the logistic chain.
Abstract. At the end of 2010, RegioJet, a.s., succeeded in providing transport services on the Bratislava -Dunajská Streda -Komárno line and concluded a contract on transport services in the public interest with the Ministry of Transport and Construction of the Slovak Republic (MTC SR) in the operation of passenger transport on the Bratislava -Dunajská Streda -Komárno railway line. The new concept of regional rail transport on this major regional route has brought additional benefits for passengers -new and comfortable trains, more frequent connections and better passenger service. The goal of the contribution is to propose an optimal variation of train paths on a given track, with the possibility of modifying if conditions are improved, based on the current operating situation. It is also an effort to find, by analyzing the current timetable, places where critical points can be adjusted or removed, thus offering passengers better rail connections [1].
This paper is focused on analysis of the empirical models of transport planning in railway transport. At first are described general information and basic principles about known models. In the second chapter are mentioned current empirical models used in railways transport. There are explained methods of calculations for Nyvig and Lill´s gravitational model at all and introduced comparison of optimal values with actual values at chosen transport routes according to Lill´s model. The third chapter includes proposal of the extension the current Lill´s model including the practical application at the concrete chosen transport route.
The development of the transport sector is a long-term and continual process. This leads to a gradual increase in economic performance, economic growth and a deeper integration of the EU countries into the global economic structures. This contribution is focused on the problem of usage of the east – west corridors for the freight transport in transit. There are proposed for the new transport connections between China and Europe. The aim of the new connections is speed up of transport process of good flows. When proposing new corridor routes and new options for interconnection of the European rail network, basic deterministic methods of network analysis - the critical path method of the CPM and the CCM critical chain can be used. The aim is also to offer new options for development of rail transportation.
