is still based on «coupling» and the desire to maintain genetic ties in order to legitimise filiation. As such, LGBT families are engaged in a creative transformation of traditional kinship, broadening and redefining the concept to incorporate same-sex and heterosexual families.
Hacerse hombre en el aula: masculinidad, homofobia y acoso escolar*
Matías de Stéfano BarberoResumen A partir del análisis de los datos producidos en el marco de la investigación Diversidad sexual y convivencia llevada a cabo entre 2013 y 2014 en diversos centros educativos españoles, el presente artículo reflexiona sobre el papel que juega la homofobia, como una forma específica de violencia, en la construcción, reproducción y control de la masculinidad entre los hombres jóvenes. Se sugiere que el acoso escolar es una forma ritualizada de violencia con una gran eficacia social entre los adolescentes, donde la homofobia, a través del miedo, invisibiliza y normaliza la violencia, silencia y aísla a las víctimas y perpetúa la legitimidad de las burlas, insultos y amenazas como una forma válida de relación entre pares.

El concepto de masculinidad hegemónica ha influenciado los estudios de género en varios campos académicos, pero también ha generado serias críticas. Les autores rastrean el origen del concepto en una convergencia de ideas de principios de la década de 1980, y mapean su aplicación cuando se expandió la investigación sobre hombres y masculinidades. Al evaluar las principales críticas, les autores defienden el concepto subyacente de masculinidad, que en la mayoría de las investigaciones no se utiliza de forma reificante ni esencialista. Sin embargo, las críticas sobre los modelos de rasgos de género y las tipologías rígidas han tenido mucho eco. El abordaje del tema en la investigación sobre masculinidad hegemónica puede ser mejorado con la ayuda de recientes modelos psicológicos, aunque deben reconocerse límites a la flexibilidad discursiva. El concepto de masculinidad hegemónica no equivale a un modelo de reproducción social; se debe reconocer los conflictos sociales en los que las masculinidades subordinadas influencian a las formas dominantes. Finalmente, les autores revisan lo que ha sido confirmado desde las primeras formulaciones (la idea de múltiples masculinidades, el concepto de hegemonía, y el énfasis en el cambio) y lo que debe ser descartado (el tratamiento unidimensional de la jerarquía y el modelo de rasgos de género). Les autores sugieren reformular el concepto en cuatro dimensiones: complejizar el modelo de jerarquía de género, enfatizando la agencia de las mujeres; reconocer explícitamente la geografía de las masculinidades, enfatizando la interrelación entre los niveles locales, regionales y globales; un tratamiento más específico de la encarnación en contextos de privilegio y poder; y un mayor énfasis en las dinámicas de la masculinidad hegemónica, reconociendo las contradicciones internas y los posibles avances hacia la democracia de género.
Con el objetivo de reducir la relativización e invisibilización de la violencia infantil en contextos educativos que aún subyace en frases que la justifican como "cosas de niños", en este artículo se analiza la intersección entre edad, violencia y masculinidad, poniendo de relieve el carácter productivo que la violencia-contra uno mismo, entre pares y contra otredades feminizadas-juega en la tensión que media entre la infancia y la adultez masculinas. En los contextos educativos, los constantes "exámenes de masculinidad" entre pares, repletos de proscripciones y prescripciones, contribuyen a la construcción de otredades feminizadas-niños, mujeres, homosexuales-de la que los niños, en su afán por hacerse hombres, deben distanciarse. Advertir y subvertir este proceso es una responsabilidad de toda la comunidad educativa y en este artículo se ofrecen algunas herramientas para ello. Desde principios del siglo XXI la prostitución ha vuelto a estar en el centro del debate público y feminista. Sin embargo, la investigación desde las ciencias sociales se ha ocupado relativamente poco de dos actores importantes: clientes y “terceras partes”. En este contexto, algunas perspectivas construyen al mercado sexual como un espacio de sociabilidad masculina donde todos los personajes masculinos actúan como “socios”. En este trabajo nos interesa indagar en la manera en que la figura del proxeneta aparece en los relatos de los varones que pagan por sexo y pone de relieve un conjunto de tensiones para su masculinidad y su sexualidad. Para ello nos basamos en dos fuentes: entrevistas en profundidad a varones que pagan por sexo y una etnografía en foros virtuales de comercio sexual. En el análisis veremos cómo la representación generizada del “fiolo” (proxeneta) que circula entre los varones que pagan por sexo se articula con el uso y los significados del dinero, de la violencia y de las emociones habilitando a repensar las relaciones entre masculinidades en el mercado sexual.
