Inhaltsu È bersicht. Nach der Metallierung von Tri(tert-butyl)silylphosphan mit Calcium-bis[bis(trimethylsilyl)amid] isoliert man das Dimer {(Me 3 Si) 2 N±Ca(THF)[l-P(H)-Si t Bu 3 ]} 2 (1). Die in THF-Lo È sung auftretende Monomerisierung und anschlieûend einsetzende Dismutierung fu È hrt zu den homoleptischen Verbindungen (THF) 2 Ca[N(SiMe 3 ) 2 ] 2 und (THF) 4 Ca[P(H)Si t Bu 3 ] 2 . Bei der in Toluol beobachteten Dismutierungsreaktion wird Bis(tetrahydrofuran)calciumbis[bis(trimethylsilyl)amid] zuru È ckgewonnen und kristallines [(Me 3 Si) 2 N±Ca(THF)] 2 Ca[P(H)Si t Bu 3 ] 4 (2) scheidet sich ab. Bei erho È hter Temperatur eliminiert 2 zwei Øquivalente HN(SiMe 3 ) 2 und dimerisiert. Die Ka È figverbindung (THF) 2 Ca 6 [PSi t Bu 3 ] 4 [P(H)Si t Bu 3 ] 4 (3) mit einem zentralen Ca 4 P 4 -Heterocubanfragment kristallisiert beim Ku È hlen der Reaktionslo È sung. Die Moleku È lstrukturen von 2 und 3 wurden ro È ntgenographisch ermittelt. Abstract. The metalation of tri(tert-butyl)silylphosphane with calcium bis[bis(trimethylsilyl)amide] yields the dimer {(Me 3 Si) 2 N±Ca(THF)[l-P(H)Si t Bu 3 ]} 2 (1). In THF monomerization occurs and dismutation reactions lead to the homoleptic compounds, namely (THF) 2 Ca[N(SiMe 3 ) 2 ] 2 and (THF) 4 Ca[P(H)Si t Bu 3 ] 2 . In toluene, 1 undergoes dismutation reactions, bis(tetrahydrofuran)calcium bis[bis(trimethylsilyl)amide] is regained and [(Me 3 Si) 2 N±Ca(THF)] 2 Ca[P(H)-Si t Bu 3 ] 4 (2) precipitates. At raised temperatures, 2 undergoes a homometallic metalation with the loss of two equivalents of HN(SiMe 3 ) 2 and dimerizes. The thus formed cage compound (THF) 2 Ca 6 [PSi t Bu 3 ] 4 [P(H)Si t Bu 3 ] 4 (3) with a central Ca 4 P 4 heterocubane moiety crystallizes upon cooling of the toluene solution. The molecular structures of 2 and 3 were determined.

Hexameric magnesium tri(tert-butyl)silylphosphandiide crystallizes with a hexagonal Mg6P6 prism and is a rare example of a solvent-free phosphandiide of a hard main group metal. The magnesium atoms show a coordination number of 3 in a trigonal pyramidal surrounding.

The metalation o f tri-terr-butylsilylphosphane with bis[bis(trimethylsilyl)amino]stannylen yields nearly quantitatively the tetrameric tin(II) tri-terf-butylsilylphosphandiide with a central Sn4 P4 cubane moiety. Barium bis[tri-/£Tf -butylsilylphosphanide] is accessible via the reaction o f tri-?£T/-butylsilylphosphane with barium bis[bis(trimethylsilyl)amide] in the molar ratio 2 : 1 . This phosphanide reacts with bis[bis(trimethylsilyl)amino]stannylen to give barium tritin(II) tetrakis[/i3-tri-ter?-butylsilylphosphandiide]. Das homo loge Bis(arsanyl)stannylen liegt isotyp vor [3]. Im dimeren, zentrosymmetrischen tra n s -C hloro-[di(?m-butyl)arsanyl]stannylen [4] beobachtet man im Gegensatz zu den homoleptischen Deriva ten einen planaren Sn-,As2-Cyclus. Eine wei tere Vergrößerung des sterischen Anspruchs der Silylreste erlaubt die Isolierung monome rer Bis(phosphanyl)-und Bis(arsanyl)stannylene vom Typ B [5] An die schweren Erdalka limetalle koordinierte Zinn(II)-tris[bis(trimethylsilyl)phosphanidl-Anionen eliminieren bei Zu gabe von Lewis-Basen wie Tetrahydrofuran * Sonderdruckanforderungen an Prof. Dr. M. Westerhausen;

Die Strontiierung von H2PSiiPr3 (1) mit (THF)2Sr[N(SiMe3)2]2 in THF liefert farbloses Tetrakis(tetrahydrofuran‐O)strontium‐bis(triisopropylsilylphosphanid) (3) mit einem oktaedrisch koordinierten Zentralatom und trans‐ständigen Phosphanid‐Liganden. Die homometallische Metallierung in Toluol führt zur Eliminierung von 1 und THF, so daß beim Kühlen dieser Lösung Kristalle von Tetrakis(tetrahydrofuran‐O)hexastrontium‐tetrakis(triisopropylsilylphosphanid)‐tetrakis(triisopropylsilylphosphandiid) (4) auskristallisieren. Bei der äquimolaren Umsetzung von H2PSitBu3 (2) mit (THF)2Sr[N(SiMe3)2]2 in Toluol bildet sich zunächst heteroleptisches, dimeres {(Me3Si)2NSr(THF)2[P(H)SitBu3]}2 (5)2, das in THF‐Lösung zunächst zu (Me3Si)2N–Sr(THF)4[P(H)SitBu3] (6) monomerisiert und mit den homoleptischen Verbindungen (THF)2Sr[N(SiMe3)2]2 und (THF)4Sr[P(H)SitBu3]2 (7) im Gleichgewicht steht. Verbindung (5)2 geht eine intramolekulare Strontiierung ein, so daß Bis(tetrahydrofuran‐O)hexastrontium‐tetrakis[tri(tert‐butyl)silylphosphanid]‐tetrakis[tri(tert‐butyl)silylphosphandiid] (8) isoliert wird. Die zentralen Strukturelemente von 4 und 8 stellen Sr6P8‐Polyeder dar.

Metalation of triisopropylsilylphosphane with bis(tetrahydrofuran‐O)calcium bis[bis(trimethylsilyl)amide] in tetrahydropyran (thp) in a molar ratio of 3:2 yields (Me3Si)2NCa[μ‐P(H)SiiPr3]3Ca(thp)3 (1) containing a trigonal‐bipyramidal Ca2P3 core, the metal atoms occupying apical positions. Reaction of two equivalents of triisopropylsilylphosphane or ‐arsane with bis(tetrahydrofuran‐O)barium bis[bis(trimethylsilyl)amide] in tetrahydrofuran gives the corresponding bis(phosphanide) 2 and bis(arsanide) 3, compounds of the type (thf)3Ba[μ‐E(H)SiiPr3]Ba(thf)2E(H)SiiPr3 with E = P, As. The equimolar reaction of (tri‐tert‐butylsilyl)phosphane with (thf)2Ba[N(SiMe3)2]2 in toluene yields heteroleptic dimeric (thf)2Ba[N(SiMe3)2][P(H)SitBu3] (4). Addition of a further equivalent of H2PSitBu3 leads to the formation of homoleptic (thf)nBa[P(H)SitBu3]2 (5). Dissolution of the latter in aromatic hydrocarbons leads to the elimination of H2PSitBu3, yielding dimeric (thf)Ba3(PSitBu3)2[P(H)SitBu3]2 (6). The inner core of 6 consists of the tetramer (BaPSitBu3)4 based on a Ba4P4 heterocubane unit, two opposite faces being capped with (thf)Ba[P(H)SitBu3]2 molecules.

The magnesiation of tri(tert-butyl)silylphosphane in THF yields tetrameric (tetrahydrofuran-O)magnesium tri(tert-butyl)silylphosphandiide 1. The central moiety is a slightly distorted Mg4P4 cube with tetracoordinate magnesium and phosphorus atoms. The reaction of dibutylmagnesium with H2PSitBu3 in toluene gives tetramagnesium tetrakis[mu-tri(tert-butyl)silylphosphanide] bis[mu 4-tri(tert-butyl)silylphosphandiide] 2. The central fragment is a Mg4P2 octahedron with the phosphorus atoms in a trans position. The Mg...Mg edges are bridged by the phosphanide substituents.
