En la actualidad, no es bien visto que la educación presente altos índices de reprobación, o un bajo nivel de desempeño escolar, ya que ello tiene implicaciones en la economía y crecimiento del país. Por esa razón los gobiernos deciden, cada vez más, invertir en educación de calidad, estableciendo las políticas educativas y destinando los recursos que permitan disminuir los factores que impiden alcanzar la calidad educativa esperada. Uno de esos factores es el bajo desempeño académico, y para combatirlo es necesario identificar los factores que inciden para que se produzca. La presente investigación está dirigida a identificar los factores que afectan el desempeño académico de los estudiantes de la Facultad de Ciencias Económicas Administrativas de la Universidad Autónoma del Carmen, por medio de un estudio descriptivo, basado en un análisis cualitativo sobre la detección de los indicadores que reflejan mayor impacto en el índice de rendimiento académico de los estudiantes. Los resultados muestran que la mayoría de los estudiantes que reprueban, no solo estudian, sino que además trabajan, lo que les impide dedicar mayor tiempo al estudio. Otro factor importante es la falta de interés por la materia.
La problemática que representa la reprobación académica de los estudiantes ha aumentado en todo el país, generando la búsqueda de soluciones. En el presente trabajo se analizan los indicadores principales por los cuales los alumnos reprueban sus cursos y su disposición hacia el aprendizaje. El estudio se efectuó en el campus principal de la Universidad Autónoma del Carmen (UNACAR), en la Facultad de Ciencias Educativas con una muestra representativa de 135 alumnos.
Actualmente las Universidades se enfrenta a los retos que representan los actuales entornos de aprendizaje basados en tecnologías, el presente documento plantea los resultados de investigación cuyo propósito fue conocer el uso que los docentes dan a los entornos virtuales de aprendizaje como apoyo a los cursos presenciales, desde la perspectiva de los estudiantes de la Universidad Autónoma del Carmen. Esta investigación fue de tipo exploratorio, se utilizó la herramienta de encuesta, con muestra no probabilística por conveniencia estuvo constituida por 369 estudiantes. Parte de los resultados obtenidos los entornos virtuales de aprendizaje más utilizados son Edmodo y Moodle, el aula virtual de acuerdo a un 80% de la muestra es utilizada como repositorio de información, la interactividad es favorecida en los entorno virtuales de acuerdo al 70.1% de los estudiantes. El trabajo concluye que los EVA como apoyo a la enseñanza-aprendizaje en modalidad presencial aumenta la comunicación entre los actores participantes (docente-estudiante-contenidos) como consecuencia del trabajo cooperativo y las actividades que favorecen el autoaprendizaje.
Actualmente las Universidades se enfrentan al reto de la continuidad de la educación superior ante la Contingencia de Salud existente por COVI-19 y el estado de Confinamiento que el Gobierno Federal ha impuesto a la población para minimizar las vías de contagio. En consecuencia, todo el sistema educativo tuvo que implementar la estrategia de Educación a distancia y en el caso de las Universidades en modalidad virtual. El presente documento plantea los resultados de investigación, el cual fue conocer el grado de satisfacción de los estudiantes en relación a sus cursos durante el ciclo febrero 2020, desarrollados en un ambiente virtual de aprendizaje como estrategia de atención ante la contingencia COVID-19 en la Universidad Autónoma del Carmen. Esta investigación fue de tipo exploratorio, se utilizó la herramienta de encuesta, con muestra no probabilística por conveniencia y estuvo constituida por 387 estudiantes. Parte de las opiniones que se obtuvieron fue un 83% de los estudiantes expreso satisfacción en relación al cambio de modalidad presencial a virtual y sobre la metodología de trabajo; el 92% de los estudiantes plateo que los profesores promovieron la autogestión, la investigación y responsabilidad en el desarrollo de sus actividades de aprendizaje, un 89% de los estudiantes consideran que los criterios de evaluación fueron implementados de acuerdo a lo que fue establecido en el programa inicial del curso.
El aislamiento social, la ansiedad y depresión son las principales dificultades o preocupaciones experimentadas por los estudiantes durante la pandemia COVID-19, por lo cual mostraron dificultad para adaptarse al uso de recursos tecnológicos. El objetivo principal del estudio fue describir cuál es la percepción de los estudiantes sobre su rol como estudiante virtual y cómo este nuevo contexto educativo influye en sus emociones y sentimientos, dentro de su proceso formativo. Metodología: se presenta exclusivamente el piloteo del instrumento que permita obtener información que explique la situación de los universitarios en relación con la modalidad virtual y en específico sobre su rol, hábitos de estudio y condiciones de estrés La muestra utilizada para el piloteo del instrumento, con participantes, 318 estudiantes, entre los 18 y 25 años, y los cuales están inscritos en nivel de licenciatura y con estrato socioeconómico heterogéneo. El instrumento que se aplicó fue: una encuesta tipo Liket autoadministrado, los participantes se invitaron por medio que las unidades académicas que están inscritos, Resultados: Como resultado sobresalientes, se observa que el 80.7% de los estudiantes y encuestados están de acuerdo que los hábitos de estudio son esenciales para tener un buen desempeño académico, sin embargo sólo 65.9% señala que a menudo utiliza técnicas de estudio que me faciliten mi aprendizaje como los mapas mentales o conceptuales, esquemas, fichas bibliográficas entre otros. Y el 73.8% consideran que la forma en que los profesores hacen llegar los nuevos conocimientos influyen en su motivación escolar, y este aspecto de apoyo por parte del facilitador, 64.7% de los estudiantes están de acuerdo que el apoyo que dan los profesores es un aspecto importante para tu motivación. Conclusión: Hasta este momento el instrumento en esta fase de prueba genera información de relevancia para conocer la percepción de los estudiantes universitarios en relación con su rol como estudiante en modalidad virtual, sus hábitos de estudio y su situación emocional.
