ResumoOs pacientes que fazem uso de anticoagulante orais apresentam necessidades especificas, para as quais, o atendimento de enfermagem tem um importante papel, principalmente, no sentido de prevenir complicações. A presente revisão foi realizada visando discutir os diagnósticos de enfermagem para esses pacientes, utilizando-se do sistema North American Nursing Diagnoses Association -NANDA. Os diagnósticos para esses pacientes retratam o risco de sangramento e retrombose quase sempre devido ao controle ineficaz do regime terapêutico e o déficit de volume de líquidos quando ocorre perda ativa de sangue. Propõem-se ainda as intervenções de enfermagem e os critérios de avaliações para tais condições. Os autores consideram relevante, no sucesso da assistência o preparo da equipe para lidar com essa terapia. Nesse sentido a Sistematização da Assistência de Enfermagem (SAE) parece representar a alternativa de adequação do papel do enfermeiro. Atualmente, as instituições de saúde, em especial, as hospitalares, vem buscando formas de implementar a sistematização da assistência de enfermagem, adequando as suas necessidades e recursos.Entre as etapas da SAE, o diagnóstico de enfermagem (DE) tem recebido maior atenção dos profissionais da área, uma vez que a sua formulação adequada direciona o planejamento e avaliação do cuidado. Além disso, os enfermeiros tem encontrado dificuldades ao definir os problemas do paciente que são de sua competência, os quais, muitas vezes, são confundidos com outras situações inclusive com o diagnóstico médico.Existem várias maneiras de se enunciar diagnósticos de enfermagem, utilizando-se de vários sistemas, no entanto, o sistema mais comumente utilizado foi desenvolvido pela Associação Norte-Americana de Diagnósticos de Enfermagem (North American Nursing Diagnoses Association -NANDA). O sistema NANDA foi adotado pela Associação das Enfermeiras Norte-Americanas como o sistema oficial de diagnósticos para os Estados Unidos, em 1988 (1) . No Brasil, estudo sobre a utilização dos diagnósticos de enfermagem na prática assistencial, no que tange ao sistema de classificação adotado demonstra que a unanimidade dos enfermeiros, também apontaram o sistema da NANDA (2) . O DE aprovado pela NANDA é definido como um julgamento clínico das respostas do indivíduo, da família ou da comunidade aos problemas de saúde atuais e potenciais e aos processos vitais, que fornecem a base para a seleção das intervenções de enfermagem, para atingir resultados pelos quais o enfermeiro é responsável (3) .
