O objetivo deste trabalho é investigar dez meninas negras protagonistas de animações veiculadas em meios de comunicação do Brasil em 2019. Ancoradas pela leitura de bell hooks (2019) e Gayatri Spivak (2010) sobre feminismos negros e subalternidade e pela perspectiva culturalista Douglas Kellner (2001), analisamos quantitativa e qualitativamente quais representações o audiovisual constrói acerca dessas protagonistas negras e quais afetos e possibilidades são apresentados a elas. Concluímos que há um apagamento da raça nas protagonistas, que ocupam lugares de subalternidade e não refletem a multiplicidade das experiências negras quando são protagonistas únicas.
