RESUMOO objetivo deste trabalho foi comparar híbridos de milho na segunda safra em baixa altitude no extremo oeste do Estado do Paraná. Para isso, cinco experimentos foram instalados semanalmente em fevereiro e março de 2019 e 2020 na Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná -Câmpus Santa Helena, a 258 m de altitude. Os experimentos foram instalados sem irrigação suplementar, com seis híbridos de milho transgênicos e convencionais, em blocos casualizados com quatro repetições. O espaçamento foi de 0,50 m e a população de 60 mil plantas/ha. Em 2019, o PZ 316 com 4.377 kg/ha foi o mais produtivo na primeira época de semeadura, em 14 de fevereiro. Na segunda (21/02) e terceira (28/02) semeaduras, o NS90 Pro2 apresentou a maior produtividade com 3.500 kg/ha. As semeaduras em 28/02 e março (07 e 14) apresentaram a produtividade de grãos médias de 2087 kg/ha, 2335 kg/ha e 1665 kg/ha, respectivamente. As condições pluviométricas foram muito limitantes nas últimas semeaduras e parcialmente limitantes nas duas primeiras que foram as mais adequadas e apresentaram produtividade 48% superior às demais. Os híbridos de milho apresentaram diferentes produtividades e interagiram com a época de semeadura. Os híbridos de milho na safra 2020 não foram colhidos pois, as condições pluviométricas não foram suficientes para a germinação e formação de estandes. Concluiu-se que as condições climáticas afetam diferentemente os estádios de desenvolvimento das plantas e os componentes de produção de acordo com a época de semeadura e do ano e a irregularidade das chuvas é a principal causa relacionada a redução da produtividade de grãos mas não a precipitação total no extremo oeste do Estado do Paraná.

Para isso, foram instalados experimentos sem irrigação suplementar em fevereiro, com 30 híbridos transgênicos e convencionais na Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná -Câmpus Santa Helena a 258 metros de altitude nos anos de 2019 e 2020. Foi utilizado o delineamento em blocos casualizados com quatro repetições e parcelas com quatro linhas de cinco metros. O espaçamento foi de 0,50 m entre fileiras e a população de 60 mil plantas/ha. Em 2019, o grupo de híbridos com melhor desempenho apresentaram a produtividade de 5.502 kg ha -1 para o PZ 226 a 4.048 kg ha -1 e o grupo de híbridos que apresentaram produtividades intermediárias variaram de 3.911 kg ha -1 para o PZ 216 a 3.038 kg ha -1 . RESUMOO objetivo foi comparar as cultivares de soja transgênica IPRO de diferentes empresas na região de baixa altitude no extremo oeste do Estado do Paraná. Para isso, foi instalado um experimento sem irrigação suplementar, em outubro, com 24 cultivares de soja IPRO na Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná -Câmpus Santa Helena, a 258 m de altitude. O delineamento experimental foi em blocos casualizados com três repetições e parcelas com quatro linhas de cinco metros. O espaçamento foi de 0,45 m entre fileiras e população de 280 mil plantas/ha. A precipitação total no período de cultivo foi adequada. No entanto, a distribuição das chuvas foi irregular com quantidade abaixo do ideal durante o florescimento e formação de grãos com veranico de 10 dias. As cultivares apresentaram a altura de plantas de 0,90 a 1,31 m e altura de primeira vagem de 0,11 a 0,27 m. A média de produtividade de grãos das 24 cultivares foi de 2,8 ton/ha. As cultivares de soja que mais se destacaram foram M 5947 IPRO com 5 ton/ha e TMG 7062 IPRO com 4,2 ton/ha. Conclui-se que existem cultivares com produtividades adequadas e que deve-se priorizar as cultivares que apresentam tolerância ao estresse de seca no enchimento de grãos e vagens.
