Este artículo identifica tendencias de investigación sobre el liderazgo ético en las organizaciones y vacíos teóricos que pueden constituir futuras líneas de estudio. La revisión bibliográfica se soporta en herramientas informáticas, como el Tree of Science, diseñadas para brindar apoyo en la búsqueda documental. Dichas tendencias se clasifican en: 1) aspectos individuales (rasgos, valores personales, estilo de liderazgo); 2) aspectos grupales (intercambio líder-seguidor, efectos en los seguidores); 3) aspectos organizacionales (cultura organizacional, grupos de interés internos) y 4) aspectos contextuales (culturas nacionales, grupos de interés externos). Se concluye que la investigación en liderazgo ético se ha centrado en la interacción del líder con sus seguidores y los efectos de dicha interacción. En menor medida se han estudiado los niveles de análisis individual y organizacional, siendo el nivel contextual el menos investigado.
La Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (RSE) es hoy un tema obligado en las organizaciones. Se empieza a reconocer que las empresas, además de producir bienes y servicios, son también responsables de los riesgos que generan, no sólo para sus trabajadores, sinopor la contaminación al medio ambiente. Ésta investigación se desarrolló con el propósito de definir un marco de integración para los sistemas de gestión en calidad, ambiental y salud ocupacional, tomando la RSE y el modelo de excelencia EFQM como base. Entre los resultados se tiene la generación de un modelo bajo los principios de la RSE y de indicadores con los cuales la gerencia pueda medir la madurez de su RSE. Con ello se propone que muestren su RSE, mediante las buenas acciones que una organización demuestre desde el punto de vista empresarial: no contaminación, respeto y preocupación por sus trabajadores, clientes y Stakeholders. Se proporciona, por tanto, a las organizaciones una justificación válida para incursionar en acciones de RSE, de tal manera que integrando este concepto en su estrategia básica y en su sistema de gestión global, serán más productivas y podrán convertirse en empresas competitivas y socialmente responsables con criterios de excelencia.
El artículo tiene por objetivo caracterizar la bibliografía académica sobre comunicación de la responsabilidad social corporativa (Corsc), como base para mapear tendencias teóricas y desafíos prácticos de este campo académico y profesional. Esta investigación es de especial interés para las organizaciones que comunican sus prácticas de responsabilidad social con el fin de convencer a sus consumidores y comprometer a sus empleados. También para grupos de interés como organizaciones de la sociedad civil, que aspiran a una construcción más dialógica del sentido y los fines de la responsabilidad social corporativa. Ambos frentes de reflexión caben bajo un enfoque integrativo de la Corsc (modelo 4I), el cual permite organizar y comprender cómo se complementan múltiples teorías referidas a qué es, para qué sirve y cómo funciona dicho proceso comunicativo. Esta utilidad se resalta ante la escasez de revisiones sistemáticas sobre Corsc basadas en enfoques integrativos. Mediante una revisión bibliográfica sistemática desde un enfoque cuantitativo y cualitativo, se constató la necesidad de adelantar investigaciones que estudien paralelamente las cuatro dimensiones de la Corsc: la identidad, la integración, la interpretación y la imagen. Lo anterior, a partir de una perspectiva ética que reconozca el papel constructivo del disenso en el estudio y la práctica de la comunicación de la responsabilidad social corporativa.
