Introduction: Interprofessional work has been identified as one of the determinants of health care quality. Therefore, Multidisciplinary Rounds differ from unidisciplinary in that they include, in addition to medical staff, residents and interns, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, psychologists, pharmacists and nutritionists, as well as in most cases include the patient and their families. Method: Were searched using the descriptor "multidisciplinary round", clinical trials and reviews in the Pubmed database aiming studies on rounds or multidisciplinary meetings in the health area. Initially, 96 studies were identified and, after the reading of titles and abstracts, 12 were selected for full reading, 10 reviews and 2 clinical trials. Results: Multidisciplinary meetings have positive outcomes at different levels of health care, in hospitalizations, outpatient clinics and consensus meetings on general care guidelines. Accordingly, they were described as a collaborative methodological evolution, highlighting the greater assertiveness of communication and inclusive environment. In addition, it assists in the development of a broader treatment plan through global patient assessment, increased professional commitment and reduced risks related to pharmacological therapy. Finally, the establishment of a humanization process guarantees the patient and/or family members the right to voice and to be the protagonist in decisions about their care. It is noteworthy that the contribution to the student training process was not included in the studies analyzed. Conclusion: The model contributes to the formulation of humanized and integral care through the participation of professionals from different areas of health and care subjects, improving the therapeutic plan. Moreover, we consider that, indirectly, it acts as a learning tool from the perspective of inter and transdisciplinarity, and the effectiveness of its implementation in educational institutions and as a permanent education strategy should be evaluated.
