The purpose of this study to analyze the effect of competence, motivation and organizational culture on organizational commitment and employee performance. The research was conducted at the Institute of Education and Training of South Sulawesi province with a population of 513 employees and based on Slovin formulation; sample set as many as 224 employees. Research hypothesis was tested by using Structural Equation Models (Analysis of Moment Structures, AMOS version 18). The study found that the competence and organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment. Work motivation has a negative and insignificant effect on organizational commitment. Competence, organizational culture and organizational commitment have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Work motivation has a negative and insignificant effect on employee performance. Organizational commitment as a mediating variable in explaining the effect of work motivation on employees performance, whereas in, explains the effect of competency and organizational culture on performance, organizational commitment is not proven
Purpose: This research was conducted to analyze and explain the effect of work motivation, emotional intelligence, and competency on occupation satisfaction through work performance.
Theoretical framework: Collecting data using a questionnaire of as many as 233 respondents.
Design/methodology/approach: The research method used in this study is descriptive analysis and SEM (structural equation modeling) analysis with the help of the SmartPLS program.
Findings: The results showed that there was an important positive direct effect of work motivation on work performance, an important positive direct effect on emotional intelligence on work performance, an important positive direct effect on competence on work performance, a positive and important direct effect on work motivation on occupation satisfaction, a positive direct effect not important on intelligence.
Research, Practical & Social implications: The positive and important indirect effect of motivation on occupation satisfaction through work performance, positive and important indirect effect of emotional intelligence on occupation satisfaction, and positive and important indirect effect of competence on satisfaction.
Originality/value: Emotional intelligence on occupation satisfaction, the positive and important direct effect of competence on occupation satisfaction, the important positive direct effect of occupation performance on occupation satisfaction.
This research aims to explore the determinants of lecturer performance at Islamic Universities in Makassar City using 327 foundation lecturers or civil servants. Data testing was carried out using AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures). The results of this study provide evidence that leadership directly has a negative and insignificant effect on job satisfaction. Motivation has a negative and insignificant effect on lecturer performance, similar results were obtained in the indirect effect test, that work motivation has a negative and insignificant effect on lecturer performance through job satisfaction. The two-stage test results provide evidence that work motivation has a negative and insignificant effect on lecturer performance.
The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of intangible assets, financial resources, and regulations on the financial performance of small businesses firms in Balikpapan. The development of Balikpapan City with many national and international events has led to the development of the small business sector in this city. This informal sector is a form of business that really helps the family economy. The research samples were 80 units of small businesses. Data collection was conducted using questionnaires and techniques to examine hypotheses it was used descriptive analysis and regression analysis using SPSS 24. The results show that intangible assets and regulations affect financial performance while financial resources have no effect on financial performance.
