This report presented the characterization of white cement and TiO2-immobilized white cement prior and after photodegradation treatment. The study was aimed at measuring the effectiveness of catalyst during the photodegradation at various different reaction times. The characteristic of the white cement was evaluated by XRD, whereas the effectiveness of the catalyst was evaluated by monitoring the COD values. The results showed that the white cement formed crystals with highest peak at 2θ 29.7990° and crystal size of 36.15 nm. In addition, the highest peak of the TiO2-immobilized white cement before and after photodegradation was 2θ 29.4634° (crystal size 36.52 nm) and 29.4735° (crystal size 45.37 nm) respectively. Moreover, dissolved organic matter in landfill leachate decreased during the seven-hour photodegradation as indicated by the decrement of 71.43% of the COD values.
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the absorption of CO, CH4, CO2, H2S and Pb Gasses by a mixture of Sansiviera and Coffe Powder. Gas measurements were carried out using a Multitec 250 gas detector, while Pb levels were analyzed using AAS. The results showed that the mixture of Sansevieria and coffee powder effectively absorbed CH4, CO2, H2S and Pb gases with the highest effectiveness, respectively 87.5%, 71.06%, 55.5% and 59% with the composition of sansiviera: coffee in the sample respectively 50:50; 50: 0; 30:20; 40:10. Meanwhile, the mixture of sansiviera and coffee was slightly effective in absorbing CO gas with the highest effectiveness of 15.65% at the composition of 50: 0.
In the Covid-19 pandemic era, most of craft industries, including Buleleng endek ethnical woven crafts, had an impact on sales drastically. Woven craft industries did some preventive efforts, one of them was through enhancing ecofriendly industry branding, i.e. through intensifying yarn dying using natural colors from local raw materials. However, the main problems on color quality, color fastness, tensile strength and ductile ability of colored yarns resulted by natural dyeing should be handled. Our current finding on inorganic nanopaste fixator of natural colors could be as solution. The natural color dyeing technology was applied for cotton as well as silk yarn by using local color natural resources. It resulted that the yarns had better color quality, good grade color fastness and higher tensile strength and ductile ability. The industrial partner had good response on the natural dyeing technology, where it was also supported by good response from costumer candidates of the endek woven crafts. The revitalization of natural dyeing technology through applying inorganic fixator nanopaste affected the stronger branding of Buleleng endek woven crafts through enhancing the selling revenue.
