The author in the article studies the features of the socio-economic development ofthe collective farms of Kazakhstan in the post-war period. The post-war decade was difficult for the collective farms and the peasantry. The collective farms were facedwith urgent problems of improving the culture ofagriculture, supplying irrigation water, preserving social livestock, and also providing labor. Despite the crisis situation in the agrarian sector, the state continued to alienate a significant part of agricultural products from the collective farms, obligatory grain procurements weremaintained. The solution of agriculturaldevelopment issues was traditionally carried out within the framework of the command and administrativeleadership, without using the principles of economic incentives. The implementation of a number of agrarian reforms to enlarge the collective farms only helped to restore the pre-war level ofproduction. The restoration of agriculture led only to a slight improvementin the socio-economic situation of the collective farmers, and made it possible to solve the problem of supplying the city with food.
The article examines the Orthodox cult architecture in the city of Akmolinsk in the pre-revolutionary period. The activation of Orthodox church building in Kazakhstan can be traced from the middle of the 19th - early 20th centuries, due to the increase in population due to the resettlementmovement and changes in the status of settlements. For the construction of religious buildings, the practice of using model projects of churches was widespread, which was regulated by the Holy Synod and was of a recommendatory nature. The main purpose of the work is to study Orthodox temple construction, to identify common and special features in architectural and artistic compositions. Photo documents are used as sources, and their analysis gives them significance as a historical source for visualizing the space of the city of Akmolinsk in the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries. Theauthors considered the factors and reasons for the construction of Orthodox churches, their transfer and construction in other places of the city.
In this article, the authors explore a little-known segment of the life and work of the ideological founder and leader of the national liberation movement, the Alash party of the early twentieth century, the founder and head of the Autonomous Republic of Alash A.N. Bukeikhana in the early years of the establishment of Soviet power in Kazakhstan. After the establishment of Soviet power in Kazakhstan, he lived and worked in his native country for less than two years -from August 1920 to December 1922. New historical materials found in the fund of the Central State Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the central archives of the Russian Federation (Russian State Archive of Socio-Political History, Department of Archives of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation), as well as collections on the movement and the Alash party, individual historical documents, published in the periodical press, allow us to restore the little-studied periods of the life and work of A.N. Bukeikhana (1920-1922), conducted by him in his homeland.
In the article, the authors raise the question of the influence of Alikhan Bukeizkhan and Ahmet Baitursynuly on the formation of the newspaper "Kazakh" as an important public and political body. The first national newspaper "Kazakh", published in Orynbor for 5 years under the editorship of Akhmet Baitursynuly, covered the socio-political issues of the Kazakh region, the internal affairs of the Russian Empire and its international position, education, science, nomadic and settled animal husbandry and agriculture, culture, human rights , the equality of women, turned into a universal periodical covering all areas, and during the years 1913-1918 single-handedly dominated the public opinion of the entire Kazakh steppe. According to researchers, the Kazakh newspaper and the leaders of the Alash movement created a "cultural renaissance" in Kazakh society and laid the foundation for the modern Kazakh state. The indelible historical role and importance of the first national and international newspaper "Kazakh" for the Kazakh people and the modern Kazakh state cannot be overestimated.
