In the article, the authors raise the question of the influence of Alikhan Bukeizkhan and Ahmet Baitursynuly on the formation of the newspaper "Kazakh" as an important public and political body. The first national newspaper "Kazakh", published in Orynbor for 5 years under the editorship of Akhmet Baitursynuly, covered the socio-political issues of the Kazakh region, the internal affairs of the Russian Empire and its international position, education, science, nomadic and settled animal husbandry and agriculture, culture, human rights , the equality of women, turned into a universal periodical covering all areas, and during the years 1913-1918 single-handedly dominated the public opinion of the entire Kazakh steppe. According to researchers, the Kazakh newspaper and the leaders of the Alash movement created a "cultural renaissance" in Kazakh society and laid the foundation for the modern Kazakh state. The indelible historical role and importance of the first national and international newspaper "Kazakh" for the Kazakh people and the modern Kazakh state cannot be overestimated.
